It hit, and went under the tires.
Glad I have the Mopar steel bumper, only damage I took was the plastic mount for the LED fog light got broken, and my alignment got messed up. The deer... Shattered legs and crushed skull. Went back after work and it was a lot bigger than I thought this morning on the dark.
I guess it's time to upgrade to the Baja Designs or Diode Dynamic fog lights, unless anyone has a passenger side Mopar LED fog from the steel bumper hanging around they don't need.

I'm glad that's the only damage you have.

Last Tuesday night. I almost collected 2 of them within 45 minutes of each other on the way home.

How fast were you going?

I hit one in eastern OR in Aug, I was doing 70.
The right fender flare, grill, bumper, skid plate, radiator and coolers, fan, alt, p/s pump needed replaced. My truck was in the shop for two months.
I'm testing it now to make sure it's fixed.

I'll know in a few thousand miles if it's fixed and I'm keeping it, if so it's getting an ARB bumper.

I'm thinking it was a good call that I upgraded to the knockoff Mopar steel bumper. Glad to see some real world deer testing in action. Hopefully my Chinesium is the same stuff as the factory.

Oof. A shame you left all that good meat on the wayside, when theres a nice pickup bed in the back!
On my way to work, didn't really have any place to get the meat taken care of and stored while I was seeing patients in the clinic.

Glad YOU are okay...Gladiator can be fixed, it's harder to fix us...

My Wife hit one last Saturday evening with her Grand Cherokee. The oddest place too...major road with office complexes on one side and tons of shopping stores on the other, very little 'green' in that area it was even at a traffic light. Fairly heavy traffic through that area from early morning until late evening (9 pm-ish) but the deer still decided to run across. She was able to brake some but caught it's hind leg with her passenger front bumper. I'm pretty sure, by observing the damage to her bumper, that deer's leg was shattered but it managed to scamper away, probably on three legs.

Happy for insurance because the estimate is around $9K 😲 😲 😲

Pic of the damage, taken that night. good thing the fur was still in the crack so it's proof of an animal strike. That crack extends almost to the center of the front fascia.

That could have made a interesting day. Depending on what clinic you work at. :giggle:
