One thing to keep in mind is if you go with an oddball size, if you trash one somewhere you won't be stopping in most towns to pick one up.
I've never been able to find a 37"+ tire in stock anywhere. Run a full sized spare, have patches and plugs, and you may be stuck ordering a tire that's a day or 2 out.

For a 37" and running a spare, @WILDHOBO can verify that certain brands do fit in the stock tire location. He's in the same camp as I, running a 5-tire rotation, as you always know your spare is good to use if needed, and you won't be stuck somewhere waiting for a tire to be shipped in.

I run a full size 37" in the stock location. Can't have track bar interference if you don't have a track bar. The triangulated 4 link took care of that. I don't like to do 5 tire rotations on the JT as it's a pain, but I rotate out the spare when it's time for new tires with whichever other tire has the most tread. Actually had a sidewall blowout on the freeway (may have hit something, dark, rainy, middle of the night) around Thanksgiving. Swapped the spare into the truck and went in to the property. Went into town to replace a tire, of course nothing in stock. They were able to get one the next day.

If you want skinny tires, the only option for a "35" is the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss lineup in 255/85r17. Granted it's actually a "34" measuring 34.1" diameter, it's the only skinny 35 you will find that is actually skinny.

I plan on running them to replace the 255/75r17 Firestone Destination MTs that came on my Willys.

To the guy who has the JTRD with them and "never got stuck and pulls out full size trucks/suburban"...remember, he has lockers and a diesel (4x the torque where you need it) so that's not quite a far comparison. But in his defense, I've read the AT versions will get you most any place the AT3W would and some a MT would too. Plus the ATs are 3peak rated (if your state cares during winter months) and I've read that the E-load rating actually handles better with the weight/size compared to other c-load rated tires with similar size/weight.

Oh and you can get these tires almost anywhere that sells tires, you may wait a few days, but that's why you get a full size spare to match :D

Very happy with my 35x12.5x17 Toyo Open Country At3. Only 59# per tire as well.

We have 3 jeeps, 2 being Wranglers
The Wranglers have Falkan AT3's and BFG KO2's, the Gladiator has Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP's. I like the Mickey Thompson's much better.

Clayton’s rear track bar misses it as well with their provisional bend.
