You'll need your battery connected for the cameras to work.

When I installed the Genesis dual-battery kit in my Gladiator, it also lost the cameras. But a friend told me to try again a few hours later, that his had fixed itself. I waited, and then it worked just fine, as he suggested.

When the Uconnect system is rebooted (fuse pulled or batteries disconnected), it can take up to 24 hours for it to reload and return to normal operation.

what do you mean by not working? If I disconnect the battery in mine it always turns off the reverse camera. It will not engage automatically when I turn on reverse unless I go into the settings an reselect that option.

It seems anything connected to the bus will be interrupted anytime power is interrupted. If you can't wait, try cycling the ignition a few times.

i had the same issue blue screen front & back camera after battery disconnected per mopar trailer brake controller install instruction (in looking back i think battery disconnect was unnecessary) & it got worse before it got better.
First time battery connection after brake controller install, blue screen backup camera, checked fuses, tried putting to reverse before uconnect loads thinking it would force it to display but no luck.
re-disconnected battery & lost off-road page & front camera also got blue screen now.
Then reset uconnect default settings no charge & waited 5-10mins with battery disconnected, now it went further bad with no jeep logo no bootup, seemed to be like a generic uconnect it looked like it was running on safemode and obviously no wallpaper background graphics just plain black & very few icons no cameras & offroad page icon, it didn’t even have climate control icon.
i tried to look if i could force it to update uconnect hoping that would at least load Jeep stuff but i could find no way to do it.
So i gaveup and let it sit with battery connected, & was so pissed at mopar instruction.
Later, after like 30mins i thought uconnect support may be able to help or update remotely but it was weekend evening so that wasn’t option again, then i thought what would uconnect app do? would it work at this stage? i gave it a try to lock unlock & locate, slowly but surely it did all of that. Then it must have been 45~60min the i left the truck alone. decided to go back and check with very little hope, but wola everything came back like nothing ever happened. that was a pleasant surprise & i learned my lesson uconnect is toucy & can easily fall apart so disconnecting battery may not always be good idea for it.
i wonder if unconnect just needed some time to bake after bing reconnect or the app had any magic to wake it up from blue & dark hole it went to. regardless i am relieved that i didn’t had to go to dealership.
They would be like, there’s a chip shortage, you will have to leave truck for weeks we don’t have eta to fix it.
