That thought had crossed my mind as a pro for the floorless version.Funny, I went opposite. I didn’t want to take my totes out so I needed it to be floorless, my totes sleep on the left I sleep on the right.
Originally I bought mine for a trip to Disneyland for my wife's 50th birthday. We had planned to road trip down and back, camping here and there. Since it was gonna be two of us in the tent, I couldn't leave anything back there.
It worked out great. On the way down we stayed in the Redwoods 1st night and at Colonel Allensworth State Park Campground the 2nd night. Watch out for scorpions there.
On the way home, I messed up and we ended up driving too long. It was getting late, so we stayed at a hotel. We were close enough to home we just bee lined it the next day.
I need to make up a tote with the tent, air mattress and sleeping bags to leave in the truck. We've been out and about in the National Forest and commented about staying if only we had our stuff.
