So how does the tent actually not collapse at the area that is hanging over the truck?
2 ways...
1) the "floors" of the RTT are very sturdy and there is an aluminum c-channel male end (red) that marries into the female end (blue) when flipped over (see pic)
2) main support = ladder. when the ladder is deployed and weight is put on the "flipped" side it presses into the ladder > ground

Cool benefit of the Rubicon is that it has the radio view of tilt/lean so I can make sure the JT is level and then I know the RTT will be level when I deploy it.

I still am loving the iKamper. I added their Air Mattress, which is a perfect fit and literally the only air pad that I have never had to refill half way through the night. I have the Awning now, for more shade during the day and added the insulation tent for colder nights.

It looks almost perfect for what I want-- a big enclosed tent for the kids, or for me and my wife. ;) Looks like it won't fit in a garage, right? And, what's your overall review on it? If you don't mind.

This is my current camping setup. Napier Sportz and Sportz Link + Airbedz air
Nice keeping it simple.

Ran up to Mammoth Lakes for a quick weekend trip. Stayed in Old Shady Rest CG, but main focus was paddle boarding on Lake Mary. This pic was taken at the lake while GFC was in “changing room” mode.
I'm going to regret not getting a wedge type when I catch some windy weather. That looks really good especially on Gobi.

Last weekend I spent a few nights out, I should have got a few photos of the Gator colored Rubicon JT that was a site next to me. The owner (not a JT forum member) was with his grandson. After watching his RTT breakdown, I'm quite sure I did well with hardshell RTT. The flip, fold, stuff, tuck, hold n strap then repeat ending with cover n strap would be a pain in rain. Especially being a solo traveler.

Working on downsizing doubled up and unnecessary stuff, to reduce excess weight and redundant stuff.
So a few nights out, I re-done the placement of my water tank and fridge.

I like the half-top on the TJ.... I had the Mopar one for my LJ until a raccoon decided to rip and chew about foot long gash right about door area. ?

I love it. Spent 7 months, 19,000 miles and 15 states in it. Snug as a bug. Garage has to 8’ high to go in.

Thank you, so you really are putting a lot of weight on the ladder. That was the part I didn't really get, it just seemed like it wasn't the case, but I guess that makes more sense.
