Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum and just recently was blessed with a 2021 gladiator willys. With that said, im a taller dude, 6 foot 2 to be exact. My head doesn't hit the tops, but it's pretty dang close. It seems like the seats need lowered, is there a way to do that or is anyone else experiencing my similar dilemma and what did you do to fix it?

Thanks everyone!

You do know the long lever on the side of the seat raises and lowers the seat, correct?

Other than that, no, there is no simple way to lower the seats.

Correct I know the lever. But I read that some old wranglers have seat lowering kits. So I didn't know if there was something similar.

I believe the location of the front, inboard mounting bolt (against center console) location doesn't allow for much change down or forward.

Be cautious with the Seat slammers from desert does it above. It gives you a bit of head room but you have to cut the rail and it is almost impossible to reverse it.

I am 6'7" and I went with Extend my seat.
Jeep Products - Extend My Seat Store

Good luck.

It's not a leg room issue, its a torso hight to the roof improvement I'm looking for. I'm not in a bad way, but I jsut found it odd how high you sit in it, even with the seat lowered as far as it goes factory wise.

There's many many posts on this from several months ago. None really helpful though. I did some study, and found that indeed, the front right bolt determines the lowest normal position that the seat can be in. That being said.....I took the seat out, made a jig for the attachment points of the seat, and cut the rear legs off with an angle grinder, and overlaped the removed section......bolted and welded it in place, using the premade jig to get the holes in the correct location.

I had a 1 &1/4" overlap, so it effectively lowered the rear of the seat by that much. Any more drop in the rear, and the middle of the seat rail would have damaged a major wiring harness under the carpet. The end result looks pretty much factory, and can't be seen unless you really know what you're looking for.

That much drop in the rear did make a little difference in the headroom (I'm 6'2" also), and was enough difference that I would do it again if I had to. I made a post about this last fall sometime, and you can maybe find it for a bit more info on it.

I totally agree, it’s not a leg room issue or even a head room issue, it’s a height issue. It feels like the seat should be an inch or two lower for the optimal seating position. I’m 6’4”

I think it’s that my knees are too close to the dash whereas my distance to the pedals is perfect.

I'm 6'1" and feel I have plenty of headroom, but can't read the top of the gauge cluster (I have the ave mpg displayed on the top center position) even with my seat fully lowered because of the angle. Point being, I wish I could lower my seat another 1/2" or so as well.

I was looking the mounting bracket over this morning and I seems like if the arms were just a half inch to 5/8ths shorter that it would be nicer.
