As the title says; I ordered my 2026 Gladiator Rubicon last night. The website said Get it tomorrow with free delivery. Well, this morning I woke up to being told it won't be delivered till Friday! Has anyone else experienced this? Worst off, I'm flying back to work on Friday. So I might have to wait a couple weeks. But on the lighter side, we are getting a Gladiator.

Bought my Tesla on Carvana. Was super easy, and they updated the shipping in real time every step of the way.

Showed up exactly on time.
I'm glad you had a good experience. I will say the price was what made us buy from Carvana. I'll wait and see about on time delivery.

I just got mine from Carvana a couple days ago. It was indeed free of shipping charges, but took like a week to be ready.

Just be prepared though. I walked in there thinking it was like any other dealership, and I would inspect and test drive the new ride and then make a final decision. I get there and the Gladiator has plates already, (I was expecting to transfer mine but now I have to make a trip to DMV to surrender them instead). And before I could even look at it they had me inside re-signing the same paperwork I had already done online under the impression I would not need to do any on sight, handed me the keys asked for mine and it was a done deal. I had 7 days to decide if I didn't like it or had an issue with it and needed to swap for something else, but my trade in was basically already theirs as soon as it hit the lot, due to the Texas LPoT(Limited Power of Attorney) that you E-sign on the website.

Thankfully I had already done significant sleuthing on the thing all week while I was impatiently waiting and was not super surprised by anything.

But anyway to answer you more directly: Unless your car is IN the car vending machine or on the lot... yeah even if there is no shipping fee you still have to wait for two things: It to get there and be detailed, and for an available appointment on their calendar.

tl;dr the car might be available the next day but a time slot for you to pick it up or them to bring it to you may not be until later in the week.

OH I just remembered something else too. They want you to have the car insured as of the prior business day before pickup. So it is functionally impossible to comply with that 'same day' unless you had pulled the trigger on all that the day before.

I wouldn't buy from Carvana, they have a well documented history of borderline fraud and at least poor business practices. They try to turn-and-burn sales so quickly that they often don't have titles in-hand for the cars they are selling.

Search "Carvana Title Problems" some people have been waiting months to get their titles, others have ended up with Carvana demanding the car back but also refusing to return the trade-in because they already sold it.

That’s what I didn’t know before I bought it

Did they say it would be delivered tomorrow, or did it use the phrase "as soon as tomorrow"? That's how they get you.
It said “free delivery available for pick up or delivery tomorrow so I called the insurance company last night to change my insurance then I submitted it and next thing I know June 5th is the earliest date available for delivery.

That demand smells like them offloading the liability to the customer rather than having to pay for their own insurance in case the car gets wrecked or stolen before delivery. "Please insure our car for us prior to it becoming your car" would have me laughing all the way out the door.

Honestly, I'd rather have my own insurance before it gets delivered, even if the delivery company has insurance. When I bought my BMW I had it delivered from Idaho. It arrived covered in road grime (winter storms), and after inspection I found it was damaged. Tried to work with the delivery company but they basically tried to disappear. Luckily I already had my own insurance on it, they went after the transport company and I paid zero dollars for the repair.

One day of extra insurance isn't going to break the bank, and it's cheap.. well... insurance in the event something happens.
