Has anyone changed out eSIM or purge valve on their Gladiator? I’m at around 100,000 miles right now.
Getting PO440, P0456 & P0457. I had them cleared but they come back. The P0440 is staying in permanent DTC on my code reader.

You mentioned the gas cap in your title....... but never said anything about it in you post.

Did you take the gas cap off and put it back on again? Yes.....sometimes, it can be that simple.
Been there done that myself (not on Gladiator).

It is worth Troubleshooting the problem before replacing parts. You can start with getting the cap seal wet, add a bit of oil or grease or even wrap it in plastic to ensure it seals there are a few videos on you tube where people give good explanations of the system function and how to isolate various parts of the system. I found most of the time it is just a dried out hose, piece of tubing or something that can be found in a detailed inspection. You can also get a cheap smoker off Amazon if you need to use one.

This has been on and off for while. I switched gas caps with my other Jeeps and it comes i again after clearing codes. I’ll switch gas caps with my brother in laws Jeep and if that’s not it look at the next option. I pulled the eSIM but nothing to see there. Really don’t want to do a $190 dealership scan.

Another question…. Do you overfill your tank? And I mean…when the pump clicks off, do you continue to put gas in it?
By overfilling the tank can put gas in the evap canister/etc and cause other issues. The error codes you are seeing, could be from anything in the system.

So, if you do overfill your tank….. I’d start researching the potential that your evaporator canister has gas in it.

I’ve probably overfilled it a few times. My JK had the problem of not taking fuel and shutting off the pump so I didn’t trust it. I pulled the eSIM and purge valve off yesterday, purge valve doesn’t seem to pass. I watched some videos on testing the eSIM but don’t have the equipment to test it. I always wonder about the charcoal canister. I may have to get it diagnosed with a proper scanner. It’s that or $300 delivered for gas cap, purge valve, and eSIM. That’s the best price I can find at Mopar Canada Parts. Jobbers on eBay are probably half that but might not be worth it.
