Just thought id share this, i'm sure there is a thread somewhere with this. Long winded ... here we go.
I got my 2020 sport last august, about 2 months after I started getting this severe shimmy/tremble/wobble coming from the front left of the vehicle when on the freeway in southern california going anything over 72 MPH. I could feel the shake coming up the steering shaft and through the steering wheel while shaking the rest of the car. To get it to stop I would have to pump the breaks and get the vehicle below 68MPH. Now, you would think with how crap the freeways are here that a wobble would come from going over the crack and crappy freeways and so did I. I finally took it in to the dealership because it was happening far too often and this didnt feel right.
I finally got ahold of my service tech and he let me know that there was severe tire oscillation caused by an issue with the steering damper. He said this is a well known issue by Chrysler. Never had a recall notice for this issue. I know i've seen others with this issue and lots of back and forth as I thought this may be the feared death wobble.
Thought this might be helpful to those still thinking "what the f**K is wrong with my damn gladiator" and how do I diagnose this.
