2021 Mojave 17,000 miles, my clutch has started stopping in its return stroke up about were the resistance begins when pushing it down.
I thought it had happened twice before but I couldn’t verify it but tonight while my wife was driving ( of course) it was stuck and I visually verified that she had to lift the pedal from underneath with her foot then it popped up to the normal resting position.
looks like I have to visit my dealership!

Check just to make sure that's it's not the floor mat, but it sounds like you will need a clutch very soon, or at the very minimum, a master cylinder. I wouldn't drive it like that. That's the beginning of the end.

I'd get an appointment ASAP, before you're stuck somewhere.

Was your 2021 built before or after the recall? If before, was the recall performed?

Post recall, not a floor mat issue.
I am taking it very seriously, odd that it seems to happen well above where pressure seem to be taken off the pressure plate.

Sounds like a slave and or master cylinder issue. Could also be binding at the pivot point??

Been a few vehicles sense my last manual, but I spent many years as a maintenance technician in a large plant. If it was me I’d look for issues with the pedal assembly first.. catching on something binding at the pivot point. Run it all the way down and hold it. If it’s leaking past the seals in either cylinder it should be effected by the duration that it’s held down. Make sure the fluid is full. Idk if there is a spring on the peddles anymore to help keep it up ? Just stabbing in the dark as I am unfamiliar with the exact mechanisms at play here. Is the clutch slipping at all ??

Worst case, you caught it early, so get a Centerforce clutch in there.

Clutch operation is normal, I’m thinking the pedal assembly is the best starting point.
The first 3” inches or so I believe are controlled with spring tension a it is very light. I have wondered if if was a built in feature for those who rest there foot on the clutch pedal….

Also the clutch appears to hold pressure, admittedly I haven’t checked the fluid level yet.

Check the fluid to see if it's dirty or looks like something is in it. Anything in it is most likely from the master cylinder. If the level is low. The slave cylinder could be leaking.

Worst case, you caught it early, so get a Centerforce clutch in there.
I put one in my JK and my Challenger. I wouldn’t hesitate to put in a CF again. I’m hoping I don’t get to that point with my Mojave, although it would be pretty clean and rust free and a lot easier to climb under than the Challenger!

I've always been a south bend guy on previous vehicles, but the Centerforce is increasingly intriguing to me. I've seen nothing but glowing reviews.

Problem resolved!
turns out the connection of the clutch pedal to the master cylinder plunger was not fully seated (clicks when fully seated).
I’ll attempt to add attachments.

The fix seems simple, slightly apply pressure on the clutch pedal to aline the clip on the plunger connection on the pedal lever and press the plunger arm till the pedal arm clicks in.

I realize that it was never fully seated from factory now. There is less pedal movement and the is no audible thunk sound when releasing the clutch quickly. In my defense I would have realized something was off if had ever driven or rode in another manual transmission Gladiator/JL.
