The cons are their stamped brackets in my opinion. I’m a teraflex person myself when it comes to springs and control arms.
I too have their springs they are dual rate and arms they are strong 💪 .

I’m sure the springs are great. Most are. I’m just not a fan of their brackets.

I ran the fab fours rack for a few years. Was nice but could not attach stuff easily. I had a spacer lift and airlift airbags. At that time. Worked great.

now I’m running the 4.5rk. Springs in the front. 6.5evo HD in the rear. RSI cap, decked, and big ass cvt tent that I need to sell. No sag or squat at all. I also went with the hellwig sway bar. Big improvement.

I want to talk springs either you now. I think I know the answer, but what’s your control arm setup? Long arm? I’m still on adjustable teraflex IR shorts, and would prefer to avoid the long arm project. But my lift is similar in height, just not in how I got there. I started this way before anyone had hd springs for the gladiator rear.

No cons IMO. Solid kit and customer service is A+. Some don’t like the stamped geometry correction brackets and would rather have front adjustable control arms. For me they work and I have no problems with them. They are built solid. I can see they might be an issue for hard core off roading but I would have gone with a different kit if that was my intended purpose. I believe the Mopar kit doesn’t address the front or rear rear track bars and doesn’t include a driveshaft carrier spacer. The AEV says no need to mess with front track bar and does provide a rear track bar relocation bracket. On a former Jeep l added a Steersmarts front adjustable track bar and a Rock Krawler rear track bar relocation mount and I was very happy with both. I will likely add a Steersmarts front track bar to my current set up but it hasn’t been a priority as I’ve spent my money elsewhere on my build.
I agree I'm not a hard core rock crawler and can definitely see how that would be a catch point..

Just the mid arm kit. Didn’t go long arm yet

Those are cool!
I dug through and found some pictures during the installation. They are really solid. They bolt to mopar trail rails, or similar aftermarket rails. They are one piece, with bends that go over the bed rail. They work great under tonneaus and toppers, clearly.

My understanding is the AEV kits are geared toward overlanding and not rockcrawling. I've had them on several jeeps and they do have some tolerence to adding weight without sagging too much as I believe they were designed (dual rate) for that. Can't speak to the HD version of their springs. I have also always ended up adding the geometry correction brackets and an ajustable front track bar even thought they say you don't need it. The front axle did move when lifted 2.5" without a new track bar.

You made my point better than I did. Probably perfectly fine for forest roads and mud stuff. But I’d be worried on rocks.

I keep changing my mind on racks.
- Rockslide engineering with flip up sides
- xtrusion overland
- Lost canyon mid height rack
- Rebel off-road mid height rack

I underestimated the weight of the rack. These are closer to the 150-160 lb range before adding accessories.
I have the American Adventure Lab LBE now and have had the Rebel Off-Road rack / topper. I'd highly recommend both. Had missing parts with both, but both companies were great to deal with as far as making it right. American Adventure Labs lead times are usually longer than stated and it's not always easy to get updates, but they eventually came through. I did have some fitment issues with the AAL top, but the Rebel Off-Road was super easy to install.

I ended up buying this rack knowing if I didn’t like it I could easily return it. Since I’m just getting into Overlanding and have many other purchases to make and just spent $3100 on re gearing, I opted to go with an Amazon special that I found out about from a Reddit member in the Jeep Gladiator section. It weighs in at 108 lb and is pretty stout and mounted up very nicely to my utility trail rail system. Paint finish was nice as well.

What is the dynamic weight that it can hold? That is the important part of overlanding.
