It happens. I did really enjoy driving down the narrow section on Red Cone.
I'd do RC again with others. Just not solo.

Wheeler Lake, not Webster Lake. It's been that long, total brain fart.

@DocMike I’ll run Red Cone with ya! That first gatekeeper bit my ass last year and high centered the truck. Still had a great time! Gorgeous trail and great day trip.

I'll run Red Cone any time again. So many cool sections along the way to the top.

Looks like we will have a group run this summer for sure. Not sure what it's like right now.... probably snowed in.

With the altitude of Red Cone and snow, late June is the start of the season for that trail. Not as much snowfall this year which may help. North and South Fork Swan are also about the same time frame, similar area, and of course Radical Hill. Runoff will make Swan Fork difficult in the tight bobsled areas. Can also look at some lower altitude trails to hit before then where snow won't be as much of a safety concern. Yes, would be great to have a whole group run go on these.

I'm doing some stuff in Woodland Park this Saturday.
Taking a newbie and getting him hooked on using his Jeep.

With the low snowpack this year, may be able to get on Red Cone in about 30 days from now. There will still be pockets of snow along the way and mud in spots. I'll see what trail conditions are in the coming weeks and see if we can get a crew going for Red Cone.

Lower elevation trail recommendations are welcome until Red Cone safely opens.

We did a few lower trails about two weekends ago. I always post up a trail thread with a date.

Anyone interested in riding the T-33 crash site trail along with Middle St Vrain up behind Boulder this upcoming Saturday. The trails should be pretty clear and good for close lower elevation trails.

I would have, but my wife works that day, so I’ve got the kids.

Bummer. I get every other weekend off from work, so trying to plan things in advance if at all possible. This is just a lower elevation trail to satisfy the urge to get out wheeling again.

Utah. Utah. Utah. :) I started wheeling in march this year. 5 new badges so far this year. How about Sunday instead?
