So I was thinking of getting the Core 4x4 complete lift components… I know I still need springs and shocks but was wondering what else would I need if I got these for a 6” lift? Any thoughts or experience with these? Input would help, please and thank you.

I got everything but the end links. I'm using the bent Clayton track bar in the rear so that I can fit a 37" spare tire. Also have the rear track bar relocation kit from Teraflex. I'm also using the Teraflex geo brackets in the front. Core front lower control arms are a bit long with the geo brackets. I had to trim the arms back about a 3/8" to get my caster where I wanted it. If you don't use geo brackets. I think you should be ok.

Use 45 degree grease fittings. Not the straight fittings. The lower arms should have the grease fittings pointing up so that you don't scrape them off on a rock.

My build thread has pictures.

I have Core 4x4 control arms on all 4 corners and they are very solid. I went with what they used to call tier 3 but is now called x-crawl I believe. They have Johnny joints in both ends. The JJ's do require some routine maintenance such as greasing every so often. The build quality and color options are superb. I also have Core track bars. I have drug the lower CA'S over so many rocks and they just do their thing. +1 on pointing the grease zirks up on the LCA'S. I need to flip mine when I get a chance. You won't be disappointed.

The Core stuff seems ok and some members above vouch for it. I recently cross shopped Core but ended up going with a Clayton complete lift for my sons TJ.

What’s your intended use? What size tires do you plan to run with 6” of lift? That’s a lot of lift You'll probably need extended brake lines.

I’m running a Rusty’s 2” lift for 37x12.50 r17 tires on my 2020 JTR. I regeared to 5.13. So regear is a consideration.

pavement princess mostly, beach fishing about 2-3 times a week and tow a flats boat about twice a week. Trying to run 40s for no reason other than looks cause everyone else runs 37s. Trying to be different in a sea of jeeps. I’m going to reheat to 4.56 though. I think that’s best for highway mileage and towing.

Forgot - you’ll need a Tazer or JScan or something to correct the Speedo and shift points if auto trans. 40s will be hard on ball joints and wheel bearings so keep an eye on them. Mine need replaced at 50k miles on 37s. Good luck and post pics!
