Sure does. Thank you very much for the info. Might go this route. I used that exact spray on an application to cover some wood with felt fabric and its held up great.
Like I said, we can get pretty hot down here. I con only imagine what kinda heat the underside of the top is reaching while it sits in the midday sun while we hit 100+.

I actually wasn’t expecting the adhesive to last under these conditions and had fully anticipated having to redo it often but so far so good.

Got around to installing the CK today, only the front portion since it's hot and I wasn't sure how long it would take. Overall I love the look of the Black inside the cabin and honestly the install wasn't that bad at least for the freedom panels. My big gripe like most others is the tape they send. It was literally inside a cardboard envelope and tangled all together and bent. It was like a puzzle to find any of the pieces that fit and for which panels etc. The other thing I found is they are now using a clear plastic on both sides so it doesn't have the brown paper backing I've seen in some other reviewers. The tape they give you really sucks, I put the two big pieces inside the middle of the freedom panels and when I went to remove the upper portion that would stick to the CK carpet it literally just peeled away leaving no tape on the panel (see pic). Luckily, I listened to the other reviewers and had two big rolls of 3m VHB tape on hand which I ended up just using that and adding a bunch around all the suggested areas and other areas I thought might need it. I also had some 3m spray on hand so decided to shoot the under body of the CK panel and inside the freedom top in those hard to tape areas, etc. So far it stuck great and looks great. I will say the CoverKing gets a 10 on looks but a 2 on installation instructions and really shitty tape. I mean for the price of this thing they could do way better. I plan to do the rear at some point when it cools down a bit and will report back. Also the reviewer that said have the different size rollers on hand was a great tip. I used that to roll the Killmat and the 3m tape to get good adhesion before removing the outer portion.

This is hands down the best looking cover for the jeep tops and I had a hot heads in my JL but this definitely surpasses that and looks OEM.

I realized in my excitement of putting them in the jeep I forgot to get a finalized shot of the install other than inside the cabin.

**Update 8/22/24

Got around to doing the back piece and it was definitely more challenging. I decided to break up the larger area and do one half then the other, then tackled the side corners and top near the glass. I once again fell for trying to use the shitty tape CK gives you and when I went to pull it off, it completely came off so I luckily had 3m tape on hand and also used that plus 3m Spray which is really nice to keep some of those curved edges in place. I didnt even prep the area with painters tape just decided to wing it and gotta say the spray comes out pretty accurate. Couple fitment issues in the corners near the glass but good enough for me.

So I finally had time to finish the back roof. I have read and watch a enough video’s to go crazy. Can someone tell me where the 3rd edging strip goes? I saw in it on the front top lip in a few pictures, but most don’t seem to have it. Where did you place this 3rd trim piece?

And yes the instructions and adhesive suck…. Thanks to everyone prior on how to install with great comments and directions and pictures. Thank you for sharing.

Along the front edge. When you have the front roof panels off, it keeps the airflow from separating the fabric from the rear roof panel.

Got to finally try out the Jeep with the complete top on and freshly installed CK/Kilmat and big noticeable difference in sound decrease IMO. Even at 70-80mph I could easily hear the radio at a much lower volume than usual and conversation in the cabin was easier. Big fan thus far and love the darker look interior.

Flawless installation! Do you also notice a difference in the interior temps? I'd imagine it's gotta be a few degrees cooler.

Installed my NVX SDBBP40 Premium Black Sound Deadening Bulk Pack and CoverKing Headliner kit New Years Day and Friday Jan 3. I went for my first ride in it today, because we had gone away for the weekend. Absolutely one of the most successful mods to my JTRD yet. I took it on about a 90 mile round trip, mostly highway. Much, MUCH quieter and definitely warmer as well (It was very cold today in CT. My guess is the NVX SDBBP40 Premium Black Sound Deadener is what helped the most on the sound reduction and temperature control, but for sure the CK headliner kit makes it look GREAT, (though I never minded the white inside), especially compared to if you just had the sound deadener. The CK directions and diagram basically SUCK !! Especially when they didn't even come with the kit I got from REALTRUCK. Honestly this thread is way more informative and helpful than either the directions or diagram were, after I found them on line. And RealTruck took almost a month to send me my CK kit, even though they claimed they had it in stock when I ordered it on Dec. 6. Wasn't worth the 30 bucks I saved over Summit, who has always shipped ASAP.
The CK kit is very nice quality, other than the lack of enough of the two sided tape, ( CK, how about you charge another 5 bucks more and give us too much tape will ya?),and the aforementioned crappy directions, tape diagram, and stupid video.
All in all, much thanks to the OP, it's REALLY worth the aggravation and time, ( about 8 hours total time spent )

I don't have any idea why the forum triplicated my pics, but moderator feel free to delete the extras

Couldn't agree more with the tape fail on CK's part.

Otherwise I do love the liner its made a huge difference in noise/heat and of course looks great. Good job on your install!

Anyone who's done this, has this been fine to drive with the freedom panels off? I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on this but I worry about wind blowing the rear adhesive off if I drive with the front panels off a lot.

The rear roof liner stays on just fine. When you take the front panels off, there's a rubber strip edging included with the kit along the front edge that holds the rear fabric to the rear hardtop.

No issues with mine.
