Coverless - trail rail storage options?

So my JT is not driven a ton, but I need some storage ideas for the bed. I had the factory tonneau on since I got it. Recently upgraded to 37s with a DV8 spare tire carrier and quickly realized I have no waterproof storage now.

I did have a swing line case, but that interferes with the spare tire. Does anyone make boxes that mount to the Mopar trail rail system?

I am thinking of some creative ways as well. Maybe I do molle panels and strap some sort of boxes to them?

Looking for some ideas.

You could use slide nuts and bolt through any size tool/storage box into the trail rail. Many of the rack slide nuts work in the trail rail system, I have some from Rhino Rack as well as some that were meant for my Tacoma's rail system to hold a Hi-lift. By bolting through from inside a lockable box it should help prevent theft and secure it how you want.

Before getting my topper I also just used an aluminum storage box I have for my LJ and used a heavy cable to secure and padlock it to the bed d-rings.

+1 for montechie's idea. I used an old ATV box I mounted in the bed of my Overland by making up a simple mounting bracket to bolt to the trail rail.

On the upper end ... Pelican does make some cross bed mounting brackets that fit the Tacoma bedrails.. I suspect those fit the Gladiator just fine. Pair that with one of the bigger Pelican cases.

I like this, though if someone is after your stuff and has a small wire cutting tool they now have a nice pelican case to transport your stuff in too. I'd probably be after a mounting system/box that hides the mounting hardware inside the box so the only way to get to your stuff, your box, or the lock is by cutting through a larger padlock.

I like this, though if someone is after your stuff and has a small wire cutting tool they now have a nice pelican case to transport your stuff in too. I'd probably be after a mounting system/box that hides the mounting hardware inside the box so the only way to get to your stuff, your box, or the lock is by cutting through a larger padlock.
Oh yeah... I have a roof top mounted version of those mounts and I had the same WTF reaction to using little TSA cable locks :)
