On these forums, i see a lot more off-roady jeeps than brojeeps. (brojeeps usually skulk away in shame when we don't all love their rubber-banded 22s and underglow)

In person, I see a LOT more brojeeps than off-roady jeeps.

You folks wanna get a forum event together with some crossover from jlwranglerforums.com or fuck it even bronco6g.com or tacoworld (what i'd call a tacoma forum) or somethingsomething4runner.com, i'm down.

But you wont ever see me at a general-public jeep event. WAY too many bros out there.

And it's not just their stupid angry-eye jeeps. Bros are angry confrontational drunks and I don't have time for that bullshit.
"Bro Jeep", thats effin hilarious! I am going to start using that label now. Tons of Bro Jeeps in my area!! lol

I’ve seen this posted on the local FB pages too. That beach is close to Houston and there was some 80k down there.

Our club was at a different beach further south and while it was like being at spring break, we didn’t have those kinds of shenanigans.
Its also close to Beaumont as well so I am sure there were possibly people who drove over from there possibly. I would likely have gone to the one you were talking about but I didn't know that much about it or where it was happening as most seemed to be talking only about Crystal Beach

I read about the cop getting run over. Surprised more people didn't get run over. In talking with a local jeeper who went. He said that he went early and on Friday so he could get out of there before all the bro jeepers and bro truckers (LOL) descended on Crystal Beach

I'm in Katy but family has a place Tiki Island I frequent on weekends. Went down with a couple friends to celebrate my 60th birthday and we were thinking of going over just to check it out but I just remember the mess it was last year. In talking to a few folks they were going over early on Friday and then getting the hell out before the thing went crazy. I might have gone but didn't want to deal with the ferry. I had asked a few about the event you were mentioning but they didn't seem to know much about it either. I just happened to see someone mentioned it in the Space City and Houston Jeeps Clubs but they didn't discuss it much. Seems like most all where trying to form up big groups at Buccee's on 45 to head to Crystal Beach function. We ended up just going cruising down San Luis Pass area

A pick-up truck that the owner took to the truck accessory store and said "give me the micropenis compensation package." In other words - lift kit, oversize wheels, off-road tires, hub spacers(because the oversize knobby tires and wheels aren't taking up enough parking already), light bar, and a trailer hitch. It'll never be intentionally taken off-road and the trailer hitch will never tow anything.
Careful now - there are some people on these forums who are very sensitive about their hitches. I found that out the hard way.

When did you go to the one in OCMD? Because while I love the place, it seems every (and I mean every) vehicle weekend there just turns into the Woodward Booze Cruise when the sun goes down. Watched a guy die there few years back. Pedestrian hit by a drunk driver who was gunning it from light to light. And that was classic car weekend, I can only imagine what bike week or eurorice weekend turn into.
Last time I was there was 2018, I moved 12/2018, and I will say I was there until dusk, was never there till o' dark thirty, I know the cops go crazy on the Classic car weekend, they stalk the modified cars just wanting to tow it and take the tag off it!!!

And I've heard the import shit get out of control "BRO" happens everywhere, look at the Challenger/Charger Nation, I wouldn't own one of those cars now, every where you go someone is driving one like a complete fucking moron!!!!

AND I live in Florida just think about the shit I see, and I try not to go anywhere in Orlando!!!! really

and I'm leaving to NC this weekend whew!!!

It's when you take your mall crawler and turn it up to 11.

Other qualified mods are an angry eye grill and a winch you've never used.
I won’t let my kids duck any Jeeps with angry grills. It seems like I would be encouraging them.

I mean, 100 arrests for an 80,000 person event? Not bad really. That's a 0.125% arrest rate.
Not sure what you are used to but 100 arrests at a NFL or College football game is an exceedingly rare occurrence. Can you recall any?

Collage games are 7k and NFL is 66k people average. Take into account the arrests of the people attending outside of the 2 hour game (Like all attendees but for the whole weekend) and possibly. We'll never really know. But no I'm not surprised there were 0.125% arrests at a huge multi day party...

The average arrests associated with NFL football game (inside and out of stadium) are 6.3 arrests. That is with an average attendance of 66,000. So it would average about 10 arrests if there were 100,000 in attendance. A 10 fold increase at the Jeep event. Also a 40 fold increase if compared to the number of daily arrests in the US per 100,000 people. Perhaps I should not be surprised but I guess I expect more out of the Jeep community than a 10 fold increase over an NFL game, or a 40 fold increase over daily life in the US.
