My buddie is just finishing up the aluminum bed slide. It's pretty cool. Low profile enough to allow me to fit a fridge under a roll up soft tonneau cover.

Trying to decide if I want to leave it raw aluminum, powder coat it black to match the rest of the truck, or do a bed liner material. What would you do?

Bare metal looks good! Maybe a rubber mat to keep things from sliding too much. ? looks great!

im a pretty cheap dude so my pick would be self etch primer then hit it with rustoleum bed liner in the spray paint can. its available in several colors also. i have used alot of the black and really like it. i did the entire hardtop on my jk with it. looked factory and was tuff. when branches rubbed it they would leave saw dust on the top. never scratched the top. if you don’t mind spending the money though powder coating would be pretty. or linex it professionally, they have a lifetime warranty so if you scratch it they fix it.

I'd clear coat it so it stays shiny and looks raw

Awesome looking! Rolling Stones win on this and "Paint it Black" (powdercoat). I think Rhino Liner or Line X would look good to but add some weight.

Went with a durable powder coat. I like how it turned out. Super low profile to fit the fridge. Divider to store stuff in the extra side space. It makes it so much easier to get to the stuff in the back!

How is it mounted in the bed? I’m gonna go this route ultimately. I have a rack leftover from JLUR that I’m gonna use for now but build up to something similar. Thinking dual slides that can be used independently or connected together.

There are L shaped brackets running down each side of the slide. They hold the slide mechanisms. They are bolted through holes drilled in the floor of the bed.

Shoot a pic of it at the mounting point. How many holes per angle? Thanks and it looks awesome. I’ll try to post a pic of mine once I gather the parts.

What low profile fridge did you go with? The bed height is 17” without an added platform but then take away from that for the roll out platform and you now have what for height? What is the fridge height?

The fridge is a Dometic CFX3 55IM. It is just under 19" tall. It works because I use a Literider soft tonneau cover. It has some give to it. You need to open the end of it to get the fridge out. The cool part is it works to hold the fridge in place as well. I may strap it down at some point but so far it looks like it will work well like this.

Some of the mount points were difficult to get to from the bottom but not impossible. We put a plexiglass divider on one side since there was some laying around. Makes for a good spot to put longer things like our fold up table as well as quick grab items like a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.
