I have asked several questions about my new Gladiator and have received some great responses. Well, I have another one. I can scroll through a lot of information on my dash. Tire pressure, oil life, etc…. Do you have any that you pay particular attention to?

Tire pressure and voltmeter is about all I scroll to with any regularity. 99% of the time it stays on the digital speedometer.

I flip to the volt meter regularly (5000 miles and the batteries are already acting up), and also to the fuel economy. When towing I watched the trans temp, not that I'd really know what's bad.
Otherwise it's just the speedo.

I wish I could put multiple gages on the u-connect screen like my Challenger can.

What should the volt meter read if all is good?

Coolant temp! I have a Grand Cherokee that had an issue a couple of years ago. I would watch the temperature and fan operation trying to determine what would cause the temp to rise going slow up hills only.

Then one day, the wife noticed the temp about 10 deg higher than normal. No over heat occurred and she was able to get it home before it got worse.

So I got hooked on watching the coolant temp instead of waiting for a warning or a light. In my opinion, the warning is too late.

12 to 14vdc with the engine running. The ECU will determine what the alternator puts out. Expect higher voltage after an engine start and lower if you have been driving a while. If always 14vdc, Suspect that your batteries need a good charging. I would look into it any way.

Off-road pages does.
Too bad Jeep can't make the off road pages work. I was told an update might fix it by early next year. It just blinks if I click on it.

Like Lost1wing said. Normal charge will be ~13V, heavy charge 14V+. If it stays above 14V on long drives, it probably means the battery isn't taking the charge.

I click the button and it just blinks.
Tried it stopped/moving, slow/fast, 2wd/4wd. nothing.
It worked when I got it, but they pushed an update that broke it. Dealer said it's a known issue and they expect a fix in the next couple of months.

The only thing I have access to are the tilt sensors, because I had that widget on my home page already.

I probably watch oil temperature more than anything. This is to know when the engine is fully warmed and I can drive more than gently. I'll go back and forth between that and coolant temp.

Have you tried resetting the head unit or unplugging both batteries for overnight ?

I have not, only because I had it in the shop for a leaking shock and asked them to look at it. When they said there's notice or bulletin or whatever about it, I figured the easy fixes are out. I was going to, but I was procrastinating because I don't want to redo all my settings! Also, I've been moving to a new state, so the truck hasn't actually set still for more the 9 hours since it stopped working!
