Dead pedal upgrade.

Out of all the things I've done to the Jeep the dead pedal is my favorite. It's my first automatic transmission ever in 36 years. Having nowhere to put that foot for long periods of time sucked so I got one.

I thought I would like the dead pedal and need the dead pedal but at 6ft tall, I just felt like my legs were too long and it was very uncomfortable. Just to note, I bought the cheapo amazon version.

How easy is this to install? And what do the switch options do?

Very easy install. There are a couple screws to bolt it all together. There are several holes for adjusting the height and depth to suit your position. There is one nut on the firewall that needs to be removed to place the pedal in place then bolt it back down.

I have several customers using the momentary switch for train horns or items that only need to be on while the button is held down. The "old school" floor dimmer switch works great for controlling off-road lights and other items that require an on-off switch. One customer has it connected to his Garmin and can turn on his front trail camera when needed with his foot. I use it to power a set of Baja Designs LP6s for the ultimate nighttime bright lights! No fumbling for a button or switch and no need to take my eyes off the road!

My wife asked me what it was on the left side of my JT that I had my left foot on (she was getting in the truck with me and looked over as the lights were on and finally after years noticed it)
I explained what it was and she then said "my Jeep doesn't have that, can I get one?"
Of course!
But here we are 9 days before Christmas -
She has a JLU 4xe - I see that your pedal online doesn't work with the 4xe...... I've not looked up in there to see how one could attach easily. She's short enough I could see it being a big help for her.
