I can point to facts.Your opinion or can you point to facts ?... I don't own one, wouldn't own one, I dont like them... but that has nothing to do with reliability.
Several articles pointing to the reliability.

Or this one

Most firearm snobs(especially Glock) dislike them... not sure what your qualifications have to do with anything after you admitted not working on very many... look I can't stand them, I wouldn't own one, I can afford better, I own both H&K and Glock.(both have malfunctioned... so unreliable ?) but the Hi-Points I have personally shot with the correct ammo went bang everytime, so for price point and thier target audience, they are as accurate as expected. More comments on YouTube and anyother source says they are reliable vs not.I can point to facts.

I haven't worked on many Hi-Points. The ones I've worked on or conversed with peers with all had the following failures. Cheap metal on high stress parts resulting in breaks at low round count. Springs not at proper tension resulting in malfunction. Cracked locking blocks after 50 rounds. I could go on.
Not derailing. I bought the WalMart Kenda Klever 35x10.50x17 for $88 tire. I put 32K miles on them and never had an issue. Off road performance was really good. Street manners comparable to any other A/T tire. They started to howl a little at 30K, but nothing any other tire doesn't do. I traded in the JTR they were on and the dealer thought they were new tires. The price and performance couldn't be beat.

I was a federal agent for 22 years. Throughout the years I amassed a quantity of ammunition, .40 cal, .223, 12 Gauge and 9mm. I own a Glock 23 and several other weapons. One of them being a Kel-Tac Sub 2000 .40 cal which I tacked out. I can use the same Glock magazines from the G23. I think it is a sweet little carbine. I've heard people putting down the KTs, but I have fired hundreds of rounds with it and so far I've had just one stove pipe, that's it. Both the G23 and the KT kick like hell. Now going back to tires, if someone comes across a sale on 295/70R17 please let me know.

What is the country of origin they were made in?Mine showed up a couple of hours ago and are being mounted now. The ones I received are dated 29th week of 23. They look decent and are the size I wanted so I’ll give them a try.

Have you re-geared your Willys? Or are you planning in running these with the 3.73?Got mine as well today, they felt pretty light so I had to go and weigh them quick.
57lbs! Seems pretty dang good for a 35, even considering it's only 10.5" wide.

I'm going to stick with the 3.73 gears. I spoke at length with another 6spd / 3.73 gear Gladiator guy on Reddit that has been running 35s for about 10k miles.Have you re-geared your Willys? Or are you planning in running these with the 3.73?
Please post an update after you install them. I'd like to know how it goes. Mine is an automatic so it might be a little more forgiving. I do like the looks and the size of the tires. I am very tempted in mounting them.I'm going to stick with the 3.73 gears. I spoke at length with another 6spd / 3.73 gear Gladiator guy on Reddit that has been running 35s for about 10k miles.
Per that guy, it's a completely livable setup, he runs out the RPM a little bit more in 1st/2nd gear than he did with 33s. 6th gear is basically obsolete unless you're running 80mph (which I never do), so I think it'll be OK.
I did buy these to be my test run to see if 35s are manageable. If I love them, sweet! If I'm ok with the gearing changes but not the tire itself, I'll switch to a higher quality brand of tire. If I don't like it at all, I'll take them off and sell them. At the price I (we) got them, you can't lose money.
Will do! Mine are going on next MondayPlease post an update after you install them. I'd like to know how it goes. Mine is an automatic so it might be a little more forgiving. I do like the looks and the size of the tires. I am very tempted in mounting them.
