I was finally able to pull my window sticker, and I found out that the dealer had mistakenly selected black leather instead of saddle. My estimated delivery date is 6/14.

Jeep Gladiator Dealer selected wrong seat color - options? 684EC60F-F85A-41E5-97AA-7D29F6FC4CA1

The dealer completely owned up to the mistake, and offered to either Re-order, or discount the truck for my troubles (an amount hasn’t been specified yet).
I’d be open to taking the discount and reupholstering, but have little interest in the seats, as they’re too hot in our summers.

Curious what you all think are the best options here?

You'll be able to order a 2023 in July, so either do that or take the discount.

Hopefully this wasn’t on a Rubicon. The reason I ordered the saddle colored seats was to avoid the red dash. If it is on a Rubicon, I would hold out for the 2023 as well.

I have black leather in Texas and they don't get too hot. AS others have said, ask dor a discount that will get you catskins at no cost to you.

Besides the fact that I generally enjoy saddle or baseball glove leather colors, a red dash would be a big no-no for me. I'd reorder. No matter how big the discount they give for the error (a grand maybe?) you'll always know your dash is the wrong color and it'll subconsciously make you want to get out of your truck earlier. That will cost you more in the long run than the discount they give.

Caveat: unless the discount is serious, like enough to cover a sahara dash kit and katzkinz serious

It looks like many (if not all) of the new Gobi rubicons are coming with the gray dash and not the red. The only issue I would see at that point would be the red stitching on the steering wheel, shift boots, possibly the door arm rests, dash, and center console cover.

I live in South Florida and have had vehicles with red and black leather. I was always scared to get leather when I moved to FL, but after buying a BMW with red leather, I found that 'leather gets too hot' is a bit over bloated. My wife has a Lexus with black leather, not much of a difference. I find that leather in general is hot, so while I still have my BMW, when I ordered the Gladiator I wanted cloth (todays cloth is much better than 80s, more of a mesh fabric). I like driving around with the windows down and my back will kind of sweat a bit in my BMW and I knew I would be driving the Jeep around with windows down and sometimes top off.
Now one thing that I do with all vehicles is to always tint my windows and use a sun visor. Black leather is easier to keep looking new, but I like colored leather better. Good luck with whatever choice you make. Personally I'd wait it out and get what I want as I know I'm keeping my Gladiator for a long time - this is why I ordered mine vs buying what was on the lot.

FWIW - I'm in AZ with black leather in an Overland model. i guess it depends more on - how often will you take the freedom panels/top(s) off and/or park in the sun? I've had mine over two years and am doing just fine. BUT, I also understand wanting a new vehicle done right, so it's entirely up to you to make that call - settle for what you're getting (and hopefully some type of benefit in return) OR re-order and start from scratch.

You're in Utah, not Phoenix

The seats are super easy to swap covers on. Dealer should be down to swap them for you. Then you don’t have to wait, or just take the money lol

Sounds like the red dash is not a problem so you can do my redneck retrofit. I love my Carthartt seat covers!!! Cheaper than others, stays cool in the summer heat, and they don’t stick when sporting the jorks…jean shorts!
