Bad article, it doesn't mention anything about taking up 3 parking spots and up a curb at the local Starbucks due to tire size.

This is my reply to all three threads started today bad mouthing "Jeeps" or actually just the Wrangler and the Gladiator.

When a certain age group of people rely on internet influencers for all their education about a vehicle type they've never driven, THEY GET WHAT THEY DESERVE.

Anybody that puts in just 5 minutes of research will discover that a True Jeep is NOT a comfortable, nimble, relaxing vehicle to tool around in.

They are niche vehicles, built for a purpose that doesn't really involve paved roads. They are street legal, but shine when away from the street.

Funny to see this, earlier today I was wondering if I'd be happy driving a CJ7 again and realized I don't want to give up my plush JK or Gladiator.

Yeah, none of the complainers have driven an old school Jeep. You couldn't have a conversation in my '76 CJ5 on the road, no A/C, barely any heat, Nothing between you and the great outdoors but some thin canvas and some 9 mil clear vinyl.

Compared to my CJ7, the JT is a Cadillac. But most of these "kids" have never driven anything but comfortable sedans or SUV or CUV. They have no idea what a solid axle, coil spring, off road vehicle is like.

I'll admit, the first picture showing a Jeep with the Fab Fours garbage on it almost stopped me there.

It was actually a very positive article, not 100% accurate but close enough.

Me too. I loved my M38-A1 and 73 CJ-5, but I'm glad I was young when I had those. Air conditioning? Take the doors off, but damn I took my nearly stock 73 CJ (larger tires) on the Rubicon back in the 70s and got through it just fine.

Agreed... I wondered why they started with that... but in Japan that's exotic. Have you seen the vans they produce w/lights , wings.

Things like this are common there. Based on my own experience anyway. I lived there for many years.
