People want to learn about the ZF Life Guard 8 oil and would want to know that’s it actually doing your ZF tranny good as a pose to it just being about the bottom $$ and marketing?...

ZF builds the most reliable and robust automatic transmissions on the market today and are used in 20 or more brand models. They are in fact the gold standard of light duty automatic transmissions.

With that in mind I am going to trust that they know something about the fluid they specify to use in their transmissions.

Using a fluid that does not match the design specified viscosity at any given temperature may or may not be a good thing. More is not always better.

That said it's yours, do as you will with it, but I would read that warning page about 400 more times.

I’m impressed with your answer here. I don’t want to cause a stir on the OP’s forum so I’ve moved my query and thought process to the transmission and gears forum.
