My 6 year old van has shown me leather doesn't hold up great either. I have not clue how the kids discolored it so bad. I also worried about the constant exposure to the Carolina weather just destroying leather (entire days of direct sun, random pop up rain storms, etc).I've had cloth and leather in JKs. The leather is WAY better, and I hated the idea completely until I had it. Wife wanted it. Now I see it as a requirement. The abuse is one factor; leather just stays new for a very long time through sand and mud and crap I've done to it. Fabric...not at all.
Color matched is something I've never liked at all. I expect my fenders to look terrible soon. I'll replace them then.
