It isn't pretty yet....but I bought an extra harness to not cut mine up to leave me stranded without a vehicle. So you can separate all of the wires in the harness. Now that we verified everything still functions properly and no changes need to be made, I can do up all the wires and clean everything up. We spent about 4 hours on it last night but happy with the results. I'll post pics with the wiring all cleaned up in a few weeks after some shows.

I used this diagram from the forums as a reference.

I used the Genesis dual battery diy kit. Batteries are FT750-25 and FT750-35 to keep the terminals on the same side vs the crossover setup that Genisis runs.

It's not clear in this context, so I wanted to point out that this drawing is not officially sanctioned by Genesis.

I just finished my dual battery install in the OVERLAND forum here... you could add a Redarc BCDC1225 to your setup or even a Blue Sea power block to help with some cleanliness. A Switch Pro panel is also included in my setup. I also deleted the aux battery but kept the OEM leads/harness.

Really like this, I follow you on Instagram too. Looks like you’re using the genesis base dual battery tray with a custom top plate?

The only thing I’d like to see someone try is a Dakota lithium dual purpose (9.5”L x 6.9” W x 7.44” H) close to a group 25 size as a starter battery and another lithium deep cycle to run som like my alucab camper and fridge.

That’s some good inspiration. I’ve been considering cleaning my wiring up more. It’s amazing how quickly it gets out of control :/ Not a lot of room under the hood.

I did a similar setup using the Genesis battery tray, Hell Roaring batter isolator/combiner and cleaned up the wiring as well by removing the aux battery cables. Also have a switch to connect the 2nd battery for starting if the primary is dead which happens if the jeep sits too long without running (4 weeks in my case).

Hey there friend!
I'm not sure it's good to run Lithium under the hood with the temps from the engine bay. I think I asked about this a while back on another vehicle and I was advised against it. Well, that and lithium bats are very pricey. Please don't quote me on the temperature sensitivity thing though... I just seemed to recall that a lithium setup for dual battery seemed to be better suited for the bed environment.

Meant ti post this one. Genisis did not make this. I didn't use any of their kit other than the tray. I wanted to point out that you can separate out the harness with out cutting it up. I did put a rimg terminal on the N1 to battery to shorten up the wiring.
