Looking at this picture I can’t help but wonder if they rolled up the rear window and have it stowed right at the top of the window and just below the fabric top. See what I circled in yellow, looks shiney to me like plastic rolled up could look like.

That's exactly what that looks like. Makes sense to me being that's usually how soft top rear windows work. Unless you remove it totally. Great observation Jake!

The soft top on the JL is too rigid to roll. I realize the JT will have many unique parts, especially with the top being shorter, but I think that shine is just the side of the roll bar and the back of the sport/speaker bar where the sun/shadow hits it at the seams (between plastics/metal). But your idea would solve the window storage issue, as there is no room behind the seats and you wouldn't want it flapping in the bed. Hmmmmm...

I don't see the shiny on the one where the back window is removed (right below it in the original post.) I think is rolled up. I suspect you can do both, though.

Pretty happy to see this. Red Sport S with a soft top is in my future....my wife is already tired of hearing about it.

Yours too? Maybe we should start a support group for the wives.
Don't let them get together...they may unify and revolt!

One question for JL (or others) owners with a sunrider: how hard is the sunrider to completely remove? It looks like there are a ton of plastic parts, including on top of the doors. i'll pull it down on the old YJ in a few minutes, and not much longer to pull it completely.

Seeing them out in the wild and not just on Jeep Social Media posts is making the waiting so much more painful!

Good to see more pics with the rear window removed. Curious how storage friendly the rear window is? And does it look like the actual window separates from the piece(s) that make up the corner? Which is also separate from the top itself?
I had to find the pictures to show you this. In one video Mark Allen from Jeep was talking about a Sunrider on a Gobi colored Gladiator. As you can see in one of these pictures he is holding a corner section of a rag top in his left hand. And in the other picture you can see that the drivers side rear corner section is missing and you can just barely see that this corner section is still on the Gladiator on the passenger side. And the rear window has been removed.

I called Jeep about a month ago to ask if that rear window was made of plastic or of glass. Was told it was made of plastic. And I then pressed the guy about glass. He had to put me on hold for about 10 minutes but he finally came back and said that a glass rear window on a rag top would be an option even though this is not shown on the Jeep build site. I guess we will only know for sure if this is good info once dealers will finally be able to order them. I cross fingers for this.

I can’t find the picture right now but there is a good picture out there of a red Gladiator with just the rear window removed and it sure looks like the framework was designed to hold a glass rear window.

Media is already getting to drive the JT and it looks like test out towing, etc. There are more pictures like these on Instagram from other sources too.

Im surprised that those first drive reviews are not out yet.
“Under embargo”, “can’t post reviews till March”, etc... what do they think this thing is, a stealth bomber? Are they afraid the Russians or Chinese are gonna steal the technology?

What the hell is it with this company? I haven’t seen this level of secrecy since the aliens crashed at Roswell...

Supposedly, this thing is about to be available but we still can’t find get so much as a review? It’s actually starting to piss me off. Do they have something to hide? Instead of making me want it more it’s kind of scaring me off...

I’m getting close to saying eFF this thing and go test drive a Tacoma. At least it’s tangible, I can put my hands on it and know I’ll have it in time to hunt and fish this summer.

I'm warming up to the soft top now that I've seen these pictures. It opens up way further than I thought.

The embargo is so no media outlet has any unfair advantage by being able to release a story earlier than others. Not everyone can test drive the same day. You let everyone get a drive and embargo release until after the last media team gets the chance.

did anybody else know the grill was bigger than the JL? So does that mean grills aren't interchangable? What about hoods, fenders, bumpers with JL?

hmmmm

Better explanation would be to say - what's "larger" are not the Grill, or even the individual vertical-slots; but rather, LOOK CLOSELY at the black grating behind the Grill ! It's THESE "holes' that are Larger - supposedly for Better Air Flow ! :like:

Ok I found the picture of the red Gladiator, rag top version with the top and the rear window removed. What’s left is just the 2 rear corner sections. To me the framework around where that rear window was looks like it supports a glass rear window, not a plastic one. And yes everyone I know I could be dead wrong here, just what it looks like to me. Zoom in and see what I am talking about.

This is great!

That boat must weigh a lot... Tires and truck low!

Soft top bitchin, lots of configurations

LOVE the grill.

My wife too. No. No group.

White is purty!!!

Rollout under wrap is juvenile.
