Thanks guys. Very reassuring numbers. I don’t have a heavy foot, and I’m still driving it as if I’m breaking in the engine. I only hit WOT during my test drive for a brief second.
I’m still wondering why I barely make the 300 mark. Hopefully numbers will improve in time.

Here is a link to some recommendations regarding maintaining the longevity of the Pentastar motor. It was posted by oldhp3. It is an older post on the motor, when the oil recommendation was 5w-20, but, I find it very interesting. It seems WOT is your friend with the Pentastar.

I'm averaging 740 miles per tank, mostly highway, commuting for work, definitely went does as soon as I started working from home, but using less gas as I do not have to drive to work, lol

yeah, sorry was supposed to be 450....was converting from Km, and placed the km in the thread...running 33" tires, remaining stock on overland

Rubicon with 315s, 2" Mopar Lift. JT weighs over 6,000 lbs with my mods. One fillup took 20.9 gal, 280 miles, 13.3 MPG. Another took 20 gal, 365 miles, 18.2 MPG. Both times I was over 15 miles past low fuel warning. Most of the time I'm filling just below 1/4. Have almost 16,000 miles on it in 14 months.

I have a daily drive of about 26 miles one way and am keeping speed at roughly 53mph, I know, somewhat granny-ish driving, but keeps the $$ in my pocket longer, so I can afford to get started in my build....once my reno's are finally paid for, lol

@DeezJT didn't let it click off but put 14.3 gallons in this morning, had 66 more miles left on the range and it said 355 miles till empty, I could of probably got another gallon in it if I would of let it click off. Still not bad running 315 70 17 BFG KO2s. Makes me feel even more confident about going to 37's and still being able to get 300 miles out of the JT.

Yep. I can usually have it reading 360mi on the trip remaining meter with a full tank. Obviously that's more because I've never put in more than 20gal despite my efforts. I'm on 35" falkens that weigh a ton lol

Nice, about 22mpg then? 450mi/22gal is 20.5mpg but then I'd be surprised if you could fit 22gal on a fillup. Or have you actually driven 450mi between fillups?

When my JT Sport Max Tow was stock I was getting 22-24mpg, and in the flat parts of mountains at higher elevation I was getting 25-27mpg! Seems like the JT does better with thinner air

I have not calculated with the trip meter from fill-up, just reading what the "range" indicator tells me after I fill up at the tank, it could be off, but you have to trust your vehicles sensors right, lmao

I am pretty close to MSL, only at roughly 5-25m above MSL depending on the location on the hwy back and forth to work

Do you have anything heavy added to your JT? After I added the rock rails and bed mat, 200lbs total, mpgs went down abit. Heavier tires (32" Falken MTs on steel wheels) took another 2mpg. I am now with rock rails, mopar steel bumper and winch, 35" Falkens on the OEM alloy wheels (tires are like 80lbs each!) and the 90lb rubber bed mad - 16-17mpg mostly city, get up to abit over 18 on highway with lots of rolling but long and tall hills as I drive to the mountains. Trip estimator always seems to be on the 350-360mi mark. When I had it completely new and stock my trip estimator was in the 450mi range. I miss that

I just filled up yesterday, and had 421 miles to empty. I’ve been getting 20mpg in city driving. I keep up with traffic, and am quite consistently the first off the line. I learned with my TJ that Jeeps like to run towards the upper end of the power band, and treat you right when they are run.

the only thing I changed from stock is the tire and wheels, went to 33's and only a combined 11lb heavier wheel (all four)….I will have to say that 80-85% of my driving is hwy at 50pmh or above, I have found that consistency on the roads here is more critical for sustained good mileage than high or low speeds
