My vote is for the JT. I thought the 23 sport model I rented had decent feel which was comparable to a 24 Willies. My Mojave stock was a great improvement over both. With the recent upgrade to the @Metalcloak Black adjustable shocks I have been very pleased. Currently running it on a 3 for freeway driving as one felt too cushy for me.

I had a 2010 JKU for a few years before selling it and getting my Gladiator, in my experience the JT has a noticeably better ride than my JKU. No doubt.

Did you buy the Gladiator because you thought it rode better?

Seems like almost everyone would think the IFS Bronco rides better.
I also didn’t care for the bronco’s interior and engine noise. Went with an anvil colored rubicon x. May be biased coming form a JKU Rubi.

Really depends on a lot. JT Mojave has a unique suspension. Amazing smooth compared to a JT sport. A JLU Sahara is a lot smoother than a JLU rubicon. Really need to know which JLU trim you want to compare to which JT trim.
My Mojave is super bouncy. To the point I do not like driving it most of the time.

My Wrangler rides as smoothy as any Gladiator in which I have ever ridden and smoother than most. It has the Mopar lift, 2018 vintage. They were SOFT and I love it. My JT when stock rode very nicely but still not as smooth as my JL. Now, with the AEV Dual sport, it isn't even close. The JT is much stiffer. But it also steers and handles better and can handle a very heavy load in the back without much compression, at all.

Which do I prefer? Depends on my mood that particular day. Lol.

Mojave is like butter. Super smooth where my prior sport could barely manage 25 mph without massive bouncing. But mojave is designed for speed while other trims are not

Another happy Mojave owner here. The ride is very controlled and handles bad roads at speed very well. As mentioned elsewhere, it's not a Lexus. But really a nice firm feeling. Kind of like the car I traded with the shocks set at Track. (My biggest surprise was how well it corners for a truck👍.)

Of all the many Jeeps I have owned and driven, the Mojave has the best steering feel. By far.

My opinion is that Gladiators with the Mojave internal bypass shocks ride better than any other Gladiators and Wranglers. You have to understand how the bypass shocks work to appreciate why they ride so much smoother. When I replace my stock shocks, I will be looking for another set of bypass shocks to put on mine.

I disagree with you on the cornering. The best way to describe the Mojave shocks is plush. The reason they are plush is that the internal bypass in the Mojave shocks allows the oil in the shock to bypass the normal valves at low speeds (shock speed, not vehicle speed) and keeps the ride from being harsh. That same action that does not allow sharp bumps to upset the suspension also allows the vehicle to lean more in turns. If you've ever seen trophy trucks or monster trucks, you've seen how they lean when they turn. This is a necessary side effect of a plush suspension that absorbs large bumps and whoops well. Just my $.02.

Retired. Beach bum.
All else being equal, a longer wheelbase will always ride better. I swear my 2024 Sport S, all stock will Dueler HT tires rides as smooth as my 60 sedan DVille, handles and stops better, but soaks up bumps very similarly.

No bouncing for me. I have the fox 2.0 shocks.

My Mojave rides the best of the Jeeps I have owned, including Gladiator max tow sport s, JKU rubicon, and JKU rubicon recon.
My Mojave also rides way better than my JLU did. I wouldn't call either of them smooth, but my Mojave absorbs the crappy roads of St George better which is why I bought the Mojave.

We have a JL Rubicon and a JT Mojave. I think the JT rides a bit better, but it isn't like going from a sports car to an air-ride couchmobile. Unless driving back-to-back, it's unlikely any difference would be noticed.
