I've noticed a few pictures and/or mentions of folks that still have a CJ-8 in addition to their Gladiator. So, if you currently have (or used to have) a CJ-8 - Post up!
- How long have you had it?
- Picture! Bonus points if both CJ and JT are together

I've had mine for 23 years. I put in a Cummins R2.8 Diesel as well as everything new from the steering column to the tires (Engine, gear box, transfer box, axles, suspension, etc.) but no body work.
It's a 1982

Bought mine new in 1982...sold it in '96...bought it back in 2016. I thought I would keep it forever but decided to sell it in 2019 because I discovered I was more interested in preserving it than driving it. It was one of the best-preserved and most original survivors in the U.S. so it ended up paying for half of my Gladiator while my trade paid for the other half. Here are a couple of pics (one with a neighbor's Model A) taken after I bought it back...and an old Maze expedition photo from the early 80's:

Wow! You should have kept it!! Love the old expedition picture. I actually saw your thumbnail picture in a post and it got me thinking about making this post.

I'd love to find a comanche is decent shape. Still on the look for one
I had an '86 Comanche that I bought in '88 and sold in '92. I put about 100k miles on it. The only breakdown I had with it was breaking the rear ring gear...twice. I assume it must have not had a very strong rear end because mine had the 2.5L 4 cylinder that must have produced no more than 27 horsepower..... I always wished it had the 4.0!
