Do you regret buying a Mojave?

I find the “regret” threads some of the most insightful. No matter how much research you do, you never know how it’s going to work out until you’ve lived with the decision for a while.

Wondering if anyone regrets purchasing a Mojave for the ride quality or comfort?

Before I received mine, my expectations were low as far as riding comfort and engine power based on (some) posts here on the Forum...

I was totally surprised how wrong these folks were. Plenty of power for a 6 especially for off roading (downshifting is your freind when needed), fantastic ride (I just take about 10% off the 37# stipulated air pressure and the ride is a perfect sweet spot of a sporty but comfortable ride). There were other things posted like a sloppy steering, which again I have not once encountered with mine, not once, it is plenty tight.

(If I have a complaint, they are minor: like to see locking hood and gas cap options NOOB, a "bay" some where to store the Freedom tops - the bag is ok, but I'd like to see something that anchors them in the cab or bed, and a more thought-out design in the interior lighting controls (who was smoking what with those rotary dial designs ;-)). An oh yea, now that I know how the FOBS work they should fix the security issues. All minor (except fob which is an issue systemic throughout the industry).

From the color, to the distinctive look (you know exactly what it was optimized for just by looking at it), to the light-colored leather seats, to the way it drives on and especially off road, I just love the darn thing and am having tons of fun in off road adventures.

Thanks for posting that (I remember it from last time)...It is the perfect short vid which encapsulates exactly what the MO is all about and exactly what the Design was optimized for.

Not no, but HELL NO!!!
Not even for a second....but I did my homework for what would work best for ME
I actually rented a Gladiator (you can only rent a sport) and drove it 1200 miles to help with the decision.
After I found the discounted pricing with Tread lightly and Tri-City I was in....

Somebody beat me to it…so I have a nearby dealer that does 5% invoice so I emailed and asked for a couple quotes on trims because I liked the Gladiator and was looking for a truck that wasn’t full-size.

The other part of the story is that my wife and son (and me subconsciously) knew if I bought what I really wanted (fast car with a hemi or coyote) would result in my death by fifty. So I pulled an end around and ordered a Mojave to blast down all the gravel and class B roads in my area. It does not disappoint. No test drive, no comparison shopping, just knew what I wanted, knew I got a good price and went with it.

Does it wander…yes. Is it loud inside…yes. Is the gas mileage terrible…yes. Does it ride like a Rolls- Royce…no. Did it piss off my wife when I showed up one day with it…yes. Does she take it every chance she gets…yes. Do I regret my decision…of course not.

And to tell the truth, I’d be happy with any trim level of Gladiator, this one just suited my needs.

I come from a fast car background.

I love that all the fun I have in the Gladiator is legal. Everything fun in a sports car is illegal and dangerous.
