Same here, and I'm up to 85K or so. After I got past the the free changes I went to Docs.I have been using their oil and fuel filters since my third oil change when my Jeep Wave ran out. I've been doing oil every 5k and fuel every 10K. I'm at 41xxx miles and have not had any issues so far. Also just started using their cabin air filters as well.
would like to hear their explanation for using docs filters lolI was short on time and paid the dealer extortion fee to have my fuel filter replaced late last year before a road trip. I just did a change myself and guess what I found in place? Yep, dealer used a doc diesel filter. I kept it and plan to go back and ask about it along with the OEM part number and $100 they charged me for the OEM part.
I want to know why they charged me an OEM price for an aftermarket filter that has about half the cost.would like to hear their explanation for using docs filters lol
Dealerships are allowed to substitute aftermarket parts when doing OEM service but they are suppose to inform and get buy in from the customer and annotate the service ticket as such.I want to know why they charged me an OEM price for an aftermarket filter that has about half the cost.
