Ha ha! it's not "my" website, a Jeep
I appreciate your wisdom and will ponder it, but again this person (troll) is clearly NOT on this forum to be nice and help people when 25% or more of his posts (at least 2 of 8) were negative of this forum's community of random folk.

Definition: An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts messages to bait people to answer. Trolls often delight in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion.

Dang it, I fell for this, lol.
Mate... as I told you... re-read your OWN posts, the only troll seems to be your foolish responses to anything you don't like ... you post a fair bit of inaccurate things, is it to increase your posting numbers.? .. fine, post and dribble away... but seriously you come off as a tool..

IF you bothered to read or research anything before you type, you'll have realised I've only called out on your BS posts.... I'm happy to read anything worthwhile you have to post.

ahh, did some research, it got 1 star by euro test standards because of non standard equipment.

which is pretty lame research and not why the JL got one star from EURO. Read back and I listed the five-ish things I recalled from reading the EURO-star rating info on the JL.

SO if I'm a troll, your the mad hatter with very poor research or retention... HA!

Enjoy the night, happy to discuss anything constructive about Jeeps, 4wd'ing, Australia, yacht racing, or the like. But this is the last post I'll be drawn into your need to sow derision ... Do us all a favor and be constructive as well...

"While the average household earns just under $110,000" So if the Rubiglator will be $85k AU, that's 77% of your average annual household income. https://mccrindle.com.au/insights/blog/australias-household-income-wealth-distribution/

For the USA a $65,000 Rubiglator would be 106% of the average annual household income of $61372.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/12/median-household-income-climbs-to-new-high-of-61372.html

So....... you shouldn't be laughing at us because we're paying 29% more of our wages to get the truck on average and our bitching is justified.
That's because the US has put a stranglehold on the working class.

Higher cost of living and higher productivity but lower wages. Health insurance industry ramping us the screwjobs. Pensions disappearing and social security being gutted. That's all political stuff but yeah Aussies have a higher standard of living but also the Euro cars are ridiculous in price.

Mate! Can you please bother to do a little bit of research before you post. I saw you earlier commenting on winning a prize for the most JL/Gladiator posts. sooo if your going to comment on Euro ratings, or the average AU income, at least bother to look into it before you just drop useless "facts" to up your number of posts.

I'm happy with anyone, you included, that progresses the thread or conversation in a meaningful or intelligent way (like your spreadsheet of options per model). I DESPISE having to sort through dribble, inaccuracies and total BS! I (and I'm sure others reading this) don't have the time or energy to sort through posts that pose as "fact" but aren't. I'd think Americans (I'm actually from the USA as well) would be a bit sick of it after having so much "fake news" ya'll have to sort out.

From the Sydney Morning Hearld:
https://www.smh.com.au/money/planni...d-with-other-australians-20180410-p4z8s4.html

"Well, the median gross household income was $1616 a week for 2015-2016, the most recent figures available from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. That equates to $84,032 a year.

But of course, households come in different shapes and sizes, so the ABS calculates the “equivalised disposable income” – the household income after tax, but adjusted for the size of the household. The median is $853 a week, or $44,356 a year."
Cheers from summer in Oz...

Hey, thread jacking is only allowed if you ask about plywood. So how well do those Ranger Raptors haul plywood? Do they require notched plywood as well?

G'day Stars....they are about over here and they are over $75K. They look good, but by Aust dual cab ute standards it is a pretty big unit...I wouldnt want to be trying to park it in a supermarket here. The reviews tend to like it, and the 2.0 bi turbo mated to the 10 speed seems a winner...but no real history to say what the trade of is for reliability on this engine. Plus side is people rate the suspension set-up highly and is well tuned to Aust.
I've not seen any real world track trial info...ie is it too wide for our tracks and you'll scratch the sh!t out of those panels, and same same for maneuverablity in the bush...no real info as yet. Looks good, drives good, expensive, maybe a touch "too big"

Yea I have heard it’s craxy wide. Looks awesome, but that price is crazy.

How much plywood can you fit in the back you think?

Hey Capn. Just checked out your website. Looks terrific. It's a great big internet when Jeepers can collide so easily from all corners of the globe. Sorry for any rough landing and welcome! Please ask drifta how much plywood he can carry in his tow behind!

HA! Funny how Jeepers, sailors, campers, caravaner can all hook up and chat online and have a great time!

No worries on your post-a-matic-frenzy friend, you can't be American and be thin skinned in Australia; I'm no shrinking violet regardless!

Just a side note, the website is to a Jeep Club I'm a member of, not my personal website... that Drifta is a good looking trailer with rooftop tent, storage and great 4wd creds. You'll find that Australian tracks and trails beat the S#$% out of 4wd's. So much of the country is dirt track, corrugations, deep water crossings, thousands of miles of beaches you can still drive on. So if a 4wd, trailer, etc can survive here it's doing well!

I'll go back to dribbling, trolling and figuring how plywood I can stuff on the Drifta roof rack, slide it in the back, stack it on the Gladiator roof, bed and even stuff a few sheets in the rear of the cab! Hmmm why don't they make 'em suicide doors for the JT like I used to have on my Ram Quad cab!

Cheers mate!

Here's a good reason people go to the outback, look at that view! That photo was taken near Broken Hill, where the huge mining company BHP was founded (BHP = Broken Hill Proprietors)
