I just put in a new CFX3-55IM (my previous one was stolen) and this weekend was my first trip with it. By default the Battery Protection was set to Medium and it kept turning off on me and wouldn't cool below 45F while driving. Then I remembered I had the issue with the previous one too and set it to Low. No more issues.

Nothing to add to your issue, but my Iceco APL55 will run off my truck for a day and a half before the low voltage shut off kills the fridge (its set to medium - which is pretty high). I am using 10G wire and the power and ground is landed directly on top of the main starting battery. Fridge has always worked perfectly fine.

There may be nuances from fridge mfg to fridge mfg in what each one will tolerate.
