Nice to see some reviews on this one, because I didn't cancel my order in time, so I'll be trying them soon. 😁

Will see how solid or shaky, quick or obtrusive they are. I liked the variety of orientations possible, and big flat mirror. Hopefully not too big.

Anyone that does so, please let us know about quick bolt replacement options you find.

Anyone interested in buying, per camelcamelcamel, it's regularly on sale for $60.

My other considerations were:

Kikbax - I like the foot peg combo and rigidity, but unsure about the bulky storage. Still regret not picking up a set at Smokey Mountain JI. Jpeggz are a similar option, but I'm not sure if they exist anymore. Website is down and discontinued on Extreme Terrain.

Lange Coyote - I like the quick release, not sure about small/convex mirror, not a fan of attachment point.

American Outlaw - simple, big flat mirror, doesn't stick out, looks solid. Could be a winner. More expensive than Joytutus, but moot while out off stock.

Cheap motorcycle mirrors - should have started here and why I tried to cancel my order. I'd like a flat mirror with decent size to it, but should have at least tried small/convex first for $8. May still.

CMM - looks solid, but overpriced for a small convex mirror on a short arm. At least until I'm sure I'd like that. Campsite Carbon is similar, slightly cheaper, same problems.

Buy once, cry once. Or buy thrice and be a helpful reviewer.
I can say with confidence that the scooter mirrors actually work really well. They screw into the cowl bolt hole and provide enough vision to be useful. Only thing I didn't like about them was there was no way to keep them "set" since you have to use an adapter to fit it. Though, if I was smart I could have used some loc-tite.

Why not use a motorcycle mirror in the door hinge.
Harley Sportster mirrors were popular for that.
They are easy to reach and adjust.
The long stemmed mirrors are needed
to fit deep enough into the hinge to nut up
with spacers to snug it securely.

I used one on the driver side for years on my TJ
until I moved the mirrors permanently with a relocation kit.

If I don't try, I won't know how I'll like them, or other small/concave mirrors, so I might as well.

Adapter? I thought people were just screwing them in.

I bought CMM mirrors so I could leave the hinge open for soft half doors if I ever buy them.

They do just get screwed in but they're "universal" size so they have a base screw, then adapters to change the screw size so it'll fit in other stuff. The ones I got, I had to use an included adapter

I ordered thumb screws yesterday. I’ll let you know how they work out once I get them.

I just got these mirrors, and in my expert forum opinion (Gladiator owner for 6 days, never used any other mirrors so I have nothing to compare to, I used them yesterday and today around town and for a cruise in the county) I like them overall. A little vibration at speed but not any worse than older vehicles I’ve owned - looking at you ‘77 K5.

I have the same concerns as OP about bolts. They seem soft. I like the idea of those thumb knobs. Would make popping them on and off faster. Thanks for the link JeffreyDV.

I like where those ones mount and it looks pretty easy to put on and take off. Is the bolt the same size as others in the jeep, or do you have to carry around another hex key?
I had the ones that attached to the cowl. They were horrible. They wouldn't stay in place no matter how much they were tightened/adjusted, and they would vibrate like crazy. The 6 dollar pair of scooter mirrors I got worked better.
I used the scooter mirrors for a long time, and they were great but I didn't like how I had to re-adjust them after every install so I got these ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWR429PQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Same concept, and they're my favorite so far. After my bad experience with the cowl JOYTECH I didn't even consider trying their grab bar mount ones but I could have saved a couple bucks if I did.
How does this one tighten? Looks like there's a knob which I'd think locks it's position (vertical, horizontal) as well as how close it is to the Jeep. How does it lock the rotating part, that allows angling up or down?

Is the entire thing metal?

I bought the same ones in Oct/Nov last year, haven't had a chance yet to try the mirrors yet with crap spring weather, but I like the design. I've been using the ball mount in the lower position driver side and it's a great location imo for a phone charger mount. Initially I didn't care for the extra ball but now I'm a big fan

I installed driver side of the Joytutus mirrors today, in both positions, with pics for anyone interested.

Pros:
Big flat mirror, so perspective is not overly distorted. Actually has more visibility than the stock mirror. Not overly big like I had worried either.

Cool looking backside with the American flag, which can be taken off or painted. Lots of options on placement and orientation, and can be angled every which way. Solid metal parts for the arms and grab handle mount.

17mm ball for accessories mount is a nice extra, and can be removed, but I wish it was 20mm to work with Bulletpoint accessories.

Cons:
Plastic mirror body and mirror, but the American flag backside addition is metal. Shaky, but it's such a big mirror it's still easy to see what you're looking at. Needs hex key to install/remove from the mount, but @King Nothing and @JeffreyDV have found knobs for that, which should make for easy add/remove. But..

Perhaps overcomplicated in how it achieves articulation, so there are 3 points to tighten for positioning. If they don't stay tight in storage, it will need adjustment every time, which means hex key is needed regardless

I wonder how it will do bouncing around on the dunes, and if those positions will hold tight.

That said, I'm going to keep them for now. It got the job done well and I like the position and great visibility. But if it shifts offroad easily, I'll still consider getting the Gevinfa version, or simplicity of the American Outlaw mirror. Or solid Kikbax with foot peg bonus.

Now on to the pics.

I installed both positions simultaneously to better pick a favorite.

It was clear pretty fast I didn't like the upper mount position, far too "in my view." I could easily imagine it blocking my view, like pedestrians in a crosswalk before I turn.

So I went with the bottom option and made it even lower yet by swapping which mirror was on which arm. Notice how in earlier pics the L of the bracket is going upward for the bottom mount. And in the following pics, it's facing down.

For those that like the top mount position, the same swap could be done to raise it up a little more.

As mentioned, it articulates every which way. So you can angle toward your truck if you like having it in your view, or out to see more of the road. Same with angling upward or downward to see sky or ground. However, you've got to tighten 3 points to lock it in, so probably best to not adjust on the fly and risk loosening them up. Though I did pull/push the angle some while driving and it kept.

The protective sticker was still on in all pics; much more clear once peeled off.

Mine are mounted as depicted in the last photo. I like that position, had to move the flags from one mirror to the other so they wouldn’t be upside down. On our bumpy suburban street I haven’t noticed any shaking. Definitely too many pivots points but I’m sure I can get them tight enough so they won’t loosen. I store them under the front seats when not in use. Before I got these I was using UTV mirrors that I mounted to the grab handles. They worked ok but were a little small and vibrated more than I liked. The biggest plus was I could fold them in when the doors were on rather than having to remove them.

Yeah there's a knob on the back side of the mirror. You loosen that up and you can move the mirror in and out, or adjust it to be vertical or horizontal.
The mirror housing is plastic, the arm it moves on is plastic. The part that installs in the grab handle, and the base that inserts into that is metal.

I ended up buying the Joytutus mirrors that attach at the cowl, because my driver's side grab handle is my Voswitch JL800 and the ball mount style that attach there are incompatible.

Best picture I took of them is below, you can zoom in and see the mount, one bolt out, one bolt in. They use a hex key bolt instead of a torx, which is super lame having to swap tools and it's even a different size hex key than the one used for all the mirror adjustments.

They bounce/vibrate all over the place and will move position at 70+ on the interstate. Highways / town driving was fine and saw no real movement of position but there was some minor vibrations and bouncing.

Totally worth the money to stay legal. Also woohoo for being an idiot and taking the doors off for the first time when it was 96 degrees both days the doors were off.

Had some Jpeggz and really liked them but there were a problem to store. Been using the Lange Coyote for some years now and have really liked them. They are rock solid and they store easily
