So after driving the JTRD daily for the past few months again I have noticed that my right hip is hurting because I cant angle my foot straight while pressing on the gas pedal. Anybody else have this problem? Any fixes? Wasnt soo bad when I was younger and more fit and drove across the US or maybe I just didnt notice. But I sure do now!

Same thing happens to me. Doesn't help that my right foot turns inward.

How does this help with the trans hump that angles my foot outwards?
Changes the angle of your pelvis and legs. In essence, your butt sits lower and your knees are higher. It makes a world of difference in leg position.

My only problem is the right knee hitting against the 4wd shift lever. Occasionally, my wide boots will hit the gas and brake at the same time.

I keep the seat back upright. I don't recline it any. I have the seat pushed back as far as it will go. I have issues with my back and hips, but even these cramped seats are not a problem for me. I do have a thin foam butt cushion with a tailbone cutout that helps a lot.

I have noticed this too and was able to just adjust my positioning a bit to help.

I have the same problem, I've been very tempted to take it to a body shop to carve out a little heel room right there. I wonder how much space there is on the underside?

I think i just kinda found an answer. I have the rubber floor mats. I just rested my foot on the lip and it felt pretty good. Might just see if I can add a rubber block of some sort. Maybe test it out with a sponge get the dimensions and then go back and make it out of high density foam of some sort.

Similar problem with my SX4 - the floor area is narrow thanks to the transmission tunnel and the fact it's a small car. My lower right leg is actually angled inward when driving.

With the JT, I use the ACC a lot so I can move my foot around.
I added the Jeep's cruise system to my SX4 when I did the 4.0 transplant so can at least on occasion move my right foot around.
