The only company you need to concern yourself with for everything and anything EcoDiesel delete is EOC (EcoDiesle Owners Canada). They are by far the most recommended company for EcoDiesels.

They can be a bit slow to respond... but just email them, they'll get back to you (May take a week or two). There is no downside to a Stage 1 as far as I'm aware, it electronically disables your EGR which is the system that just loads soot into your engine. If you ever need a warranty claim, just pop in your stock one and no one is the wiser. The DEF system stays intact, but Chris from EOC can answer all your questions.

Once you're ready for a full delete... they'll fab you up a beautiful exhaust via T&S and they have all the parts for both engine & transmission tune to get you set. EcoDiesels are great engines, take care of them and they'll serve you well. Like any brand... there is failures. Most of the modern diesels are dealing with the CP4 pump failure shit. There is a CPX kit that you can replace that CP4 with that fixes the CP4 issues. I change my oil far more frequently than the recommended maintenance schedule as well... just peace of mind. I do an oil change every 7,500km and my lab results have been lovely.

PS - When you delete your vehicle, keep the emission parts incase you ever want to sell. You'll need to return it to stock form to be able to sell it to any dealership.
Have you noticed less soot in your oil after the stage 1 upgrade? My oil looks like black printer ink on every oil change.

No even with a stage 2 and multiple oil changes it will be black all the tunes add more fuel so you can imagine more soot and carbon

Has anyone tried EOC's race tune?
stage 2 SOFT has 5 power levels that include race. Haven’t played to much with that level, but it’s quick for sure

I don't think this is accurate, at least not tunes from Canada and especially not if it's from EOC.

Stage 1 - Disables EGR electronically, better fuel economy and 20-30hp/tq on base level
Stage 2 - A physical full emissions delete

Both tunes either electronically or physically delete the EGR which significantly reduces the soot level in the engine. Everyone I know who deleted their EGR, after a couple of oil changes has seen significantly cleaner oil and longer-lasting oil. However, I still continue to say 7500-10,000km is the sweet spot for the EcoDiesel.

EDIT: Just to clarify, you will still have darker oil. That is just the nature of running a diesel... but it will be a hell of a lot cleaner with the EGR disabled or deleted. With the EGR & DPF fully deleted, I was seeing 5000km+ before my oil started to look dirty on my last EcoDiesel.

I don't have the EOC on my Gladiator, but I did on my previous RAM that I upgraded to the Gladiator from. The oil was significantly cleaner, it was better, good bit more power, and a lot more fuel economy.

You can find a lot of good information on the RAM forums that have had the EcoDiesel for a lot longer, a good practice if you're doing a full delete is to replace the intake manifold at the same time. As it's very likely clogged up if it's higher KMs without a tune, this is all of course my own opinion and experience.

I have that and I’ve run 4 oil changes with analysis on all of them, there’s no difference. Less hard carbon spot in the intake but we have high pressure EGT in these which is cleaner as is.

Running a stage 2 tune does jack diddly for the oil no matter how it’s been sold.

Is anyone also running their catch can? I am assuming you will need a tune to keep a CEL from lighting up the dash?

Yes it will throw a code. I routed my vent to my airbox. Still gets some vaccum on it when the turbos sucking and any oil can just be wiped up.

From an analysis perspective, perhaps. I haven't done any analysis on my RAM EcoDiesel, about to do an analysis on my pre-tune oil and then will do it a few times after.

I noticed significantly cleaner-looking oil in any diesel I've owned after deletion, though of course it'll still be darker if you're just pumping up fuel output. It stayed cleaner much longer, eventually getting black as expected with a diesel.

Side question as I'm intrigued, how does running a tune in California work? Thought they were crazy there from an emissions perspective. How are you liking running a catch can? Was thinking of doing it on my JT.

You cant use the live functions with the SOFT tuning. I don't have a tazer so didnt really care about it.

Will the stage 1 tune conflict with my live tazer functions? Or is that just with the tune that has 3 different settings?
