Looks good, I'll be interested to hear how it's running after a few hundred miles. Good you found that plug to get rid of the code, there are sooooo many in that engine bay. I found a banks intake ant throttle body so jumped on it as I don't think Banks offers it anymore either, but could be wrong.

I see you tried polishing it up, that is some work, I tried on a S&S intake for my bike and just gave up. Did you end up putting the engine cover back on?

Nope left the cover off. I like to see everything. Good luck with your project! You won't be disappointed. I would not do business with EOC. I even removed the DEF tank. Weight and just one more thing to get hung up on the trails.

Thanks, I originally tried EOC because they are nearby and it would have been an easy trip to have them do it while visiting the in-laws in BC. I have since given up because they never returned my calls to schedule an appointment. It will be more fun doing it myself anyway (the wife keeps saying I would enjoy doing it myself rather than letting someone else do it). I do have the EOC catch can though and that will be it from them.

Good you pulled the DEF tank, same thing I will do when the time comes.

Trying to repurpose my (unused) DEF tank for diesel. An extra 5 gallons would be nice.

Yep the EGR removal is what keeps the oil (and internals) clean. EGR is the killer of diesels.

Ohhhh,, wow. Okay. Diesel Dudes got back to me today and said that the banks bundle would over write their tune on the ECM and do not recommend. 🤔 Maybe they are guessing.... I feel like the pedal monster only recalibrate the throttle input.
I have the banks idash and pedal monster. No issues with a tune. All the pedal monster does is adjust the pedal signal, plugs into the pedal itself. It does add one more thing listening on your can bus though as it's aware some items like gear your in. I have the stinger heigh10, pedal monster, idash with a stage 1 tune. My obd bluetooth adapter for jscan doesn't like to work with all that plugged in at once.

that’s not gonnna happen. You would need to super clean the tank, and plug a bunch of fittings.

im finishing up a oil cooler install in that location right now

I wonder if a gas fuel tank could be repurposed to regain the capacity?

The gasser version has the tank on the passenger side, you could do this with dumping the exhaust behind the passenger wheel area.

your best bets are in the spare tire location or in the bed. I installed a 25 gallon fuel cell in the bed that’s removable in about 5 minutes.

My bed is full. I do have capacity for 28 gallons in Rotopax cans though. Hate to see an empty 5 gallon tank just sitting there.

I have the intake manifold coming. Does the air inlet butterfly delete come with it? If not included can the stock one be used? I have removed the butterfly. Having trouble finding the

I would think you could use the factory unit with the butterfly removed and any penatrations filled or plugged. Of course not plugged in either. Another option would be to have a machine shop mil you one up from billet.
