Latest oil report. There is 5,000 miles on the oil, Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck. 64,000 miles on the engine.
Potassium has come down nicely, and aluminum has dropped a bit as well. Aluminum is still pretty elevated, so we'll continue to monitor it just in case it does show some extra wear at the pistons and/or bearings. Other metals continue to read within normal ranges, and the oil isn't contaminated by any notable dirt or fuel dilution. The viscosity read in 5W/40 grade, and the oil filter worked well at limiting oxidized solids. No coolant was found.

Aluminum went from a high of 26, 2 oil changes ago to 17.
This oil change. I switched to Mobil 1 ESP low ash. Let's see what it does. Next oil change at 70,000 miles.
