That price is crazy! My spare on the sport will be an inch smaller and also skinnier than the falkens. The only issue I might have, I heard that can be an issue with the limited slip rear I have. Not sure if that takes a long drive or crazy off road driving to be an issue but I'm guessing on road the LSD wouldn't be active anyway but not sure to be honest. Most that I’ve seen posted in the $800-1,000 range do not include the spare. I’m not really sure what the reasoning is behind that. If someone is going to 315/70’s or bigger, I’m not sure what good it would be to them.
That being said…I’ve seen LOTS of Jeeps over the years rolling with a spare that is 3”+ smaller than their rolling tires. I’m guessing that som people just don’t think that through or are thinking “it’s better than a donut spare.”
Personally…if I were going to sell my JTR take-odds as a set, I’d include the spare, as it would be of no use to me at that point.
Edit: In case you’re looking for a fallback option, I found this deal. Confirmed via the handwritten note (third picture)…that’s $4,000 for just the wheels and tires.
