Most that I’ve seen posted in the $800-1,000 range do not include the spare. I’m not really sure what the reasoning is behind that. If someone is going to 315/70’s or bigger, I’m not sure what good it would be to them.

That being said…I’ve seen LOTS of Jeeps over the years rolling with a spare that is 3”+ smaller than their rolling tires. I’m guessing that som people just don’t think that through or are thinking “it’s better than a donut spare.”

Personally…if I were going to sell my JTR take-odds as a set, I’d include the spare, as it would be of no use to me at that point.

Edit: In case you’re looking for a fallback option, I found this deal. Confirmed via the handwritten note (third picture)…that’s $4,000 for just the wheels and tires.

That price is crazy! My spare on the sport will be an inch smaller and also skinnier than the falkens. The only issue I might have, I heard that can be an issue with the limited slip rear I have. Not sure if that takes a long drive or crazy off road driving to be an issue but I'm guessing on road the LSD wouldn't be active anyway but not sure to be honest.

i sold a set of 5 mojave takeoff tires (50 miles) with 4 rims and 1 spare w/o TPMS for $900 (listed for $1000). There was a LOT of interest at that price.

Damn good deal.

I'm seeing Mojave take offs (wheels and tires) going for $1300-1800 alone.

Did you throw in the spare? I noticed a lot of people not selling the spare even though they went up in tire size. Working out a meeting with the guy tomorrow hopefully to pick them up. Thanks everyone
Nope. Worth it without the (5th) spare. My buyer didn't hesitate as he wanted my Mojave standard 17" wheels with the Falken A/T's. He was putting them on his Sport S. I kept the factory spare Falken and went with KO2's. Fair deal both ways in the end.

I was able to sell the below in 72 hours after posting ... thought were fair prices

-Sold my rubi rock slider for $150
-4 black mojave wheels wild peak a/ t - w/ tpms 8k Miles for $850
Too expensive for tires with 8K miles. Rock sliders are in line if were like new.

If you get a flat on the rear, put the spare on the front and replace the rear with the front tire.

Thanks to everyone who convinced me not to wait around for a better deal. My new question is will the falkens fit my sport S using my sport S wheels (pictured below)? Or do they need the offset provided on the mojave wheels?

They will mount right up. Those new sport wheels look way better than the silver ones mine came with.

They might rub at flex and at full lock, you can adjust how far the steering wheel goes though to make it not rub. A youtuber whose apparently a 'banned site' has a hack for this for his JL that should work for the JT too.

Thanks guys for the fast answers, i think ill throw those Sport S wheels (i dont mind them) on those falkens and drive it that way while i save up and plan for the real lift and wheels/tires she will be getting.

Thanks again everyone appreciate the help i always find here.

I did a similar thing. Bought a set of take offs for the tires to put on new rims. Sold rubicon wheels alone for 400.
