1. I would not trust any tuners in Mexco. It is more that cutting shit off and slapping a strait pipe one. You need ECM tuning to make any improvements.
2. Nobody at the border gives a rats ass what you do to your truck.
C. Do you really trust the vehicle enough to take it out of warranty? Personally I don't trust my diesel any farther than a tow truck will run from my dealer.
Deleting it does not void the warranty.

If they care enough to dive in, they would be able to identify the ECU swaps and such that had occured.

I am not for or against the idea, and I suspect you'd have no issues at the border itself, but I agree with the points that have been brought up.

It could cause you significant pain in the future if your area begins emissions testing (or if you move to one that does), and you'd need to be willing to accept the denial of most any warranty claim on the engine. They'd also charge you for the luxury of returning the truck back to a compliant state, as they can't fix it and leave it deleted.

currently have MBRP filterback. so it would be straight pipe lol
Why give them a reason to pull you over? Nevada requires mufflers on any street driven vehicle and going straight pipe is a great way to draw interest that can get you caught.

Deleting it does not void the warranty.
But deleting doesn't give any gains without a tune which voids a lot of it if you are caught.

i feel i havent made myself clear. this would be tuned.

second i would just put the stock muffler or some nice aftermarket one to give me lower dbs to not catch attention. im just tired of the regen and the alerts when im mudding about the dpf.

That was a reply to the other comment but either way, it's your truck. They are coming down hard on violations with light diesel lately so good luck finding someone who will do the tune and I would suggest keeping your mouth shut if you do.

Personally, I feel like if you don't want to deal with the complications of a modern diesel you just shouldn't buy a modern diesel. The falloff in reliability and all isn't because the emissions equipment, it's consumer demand. The engines just aren't built to the same level as the tractor engines 20 years ago. On something this light you can get more than enough power out of the gas engine and gears should you need to compensate for weight or towing or tires. The deep OD transmission gives so many more options.

if you don't know anyone in Mexico that can guide you, will you allow any unknown shop to mess with your $60,000 truck and hope you 1) get it back? and 2) in working order?
This x1000.

You gonna roll up to some place like, "Hola! Make significant, unlawful modifications to my engine that already has a reputation for being finicky, por favor!"

im not following. how would it not?
The only things per the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act that can void a warranty is tampering/modifications that can be proven (not thought) to have caused damage. And Jeep bears the weight of proving it not the customer. If I go to Canada and pay to delete my 3.0 they cannot say my truck is out of warranty and won't fix a leaky axle seal. They have to prove the modification damaged or interfered and directly affected the warrantied part. They cannot say a stinger heigh10 caused a differential to fail.

Otherwise they could void warranties for not using "Mopar" oil or mopars choice of wiper blades or any maintenance or aftermarket part.

if you are not fluent in Spanish, or don't already have a trusted source, there is not point even thinking about it. Good luck trying to communicate a complicated and technical topic to a non-native English speaker. Communication communication communication is what is important here, you are not just taking a sawzall to stuff which is what you will get looking for a shop in border town. You would likely need to go to Mexico city to get skilled labor.
