I am running 35 Kenda Klever RT... they can throw a rock harder than an MLB All Star pitcher. They are awesome tires, but trying to save my paint. I don’t have side steps yet so what can I do to prevent. Which side steps to order? The mud flaps kinda look awful to me. Ideas?

I'm not an offroader so I got mine with the running boards (that the manual says need to come off for offroading) and the mud flaps which also would not hold up offroading since they are solid plastic, but with both and only with both have I been able to get nothing thrown up on the side of my Jeep. I think all the off road rock rails are not solid enough to block the mud and rocks, you might find some aftermarket mud flaps that are old school rubber and wouldn't get ripped off when crawling over rocks.

Mopar makes those rock sliders with step assist, the lease expensive I've seen them is $720

Weird, at which mall are you picking these rocks up? Must be some road construction you're driving through.

The factory overland steps seem to do a great job

Yeah, get the factory step rails. They are a solid rail and will cover the paint. Don't get the tubular aftermarket steps. You want full coverage. I did the rails and the splash guards from Mopar. Helped tremendously. I drive gravel roads daily.

Mopar mud flaps with extra fasteners. So glad I went with the black fenders too or the painted fender would have been ruined in the 1st 2500 miles. I love the painted fender look, but it has to be Function over Form this go round. Touch up paint was a great investment to. I routinely go off road, so rock rails for me as the mud flaps put an end to the sand blasting to most of the under carriage. Good luck.

I went with RokBlokz mud flaps. I’m in and out of quarries for work and they do an awesome job keeping everything off the paint and fenders. Just a couple thumb screws and they are off easily.

Did you go with the 12.5 wide or the 10.5 wide? I just ordered a set of the 10.5s. It was the only narrow tire I could find in 35/17.

Will adding the steps help... I am thinking the only way it will help prevent is using OEM running boards....
