Ok- Jscan and AlfaOBD name the settings differently (a little more user friendly for Jscan), but they are changing the exact same message IDs in the BCM. Jscan doesn’t use the real setting names, such as VehConfig 1, ECUConfig 1, CustSetMenu 1, etc.
The equivalent for AlfaOBD CustSetMenu 1,2,3 in Jscan would be “Radio User Settings”, and the equivalent for AlfaOBD CustSetMenu 1: Auto High Beam CSM Present in Jscan would be Radio User Settings > Auto High Beam On/Off. They both do the exact same thing.

Great explanation and example.
Yes, for the non-programmers "radio user settings" is easier for the average person to see in the list and the jscan explanation of "allows you to turn ON or OFF this feature............." is extremely user friendly.
In other words, it's THERE - per your screenshot.
I found that jscan was faster and more user friendly even for tire size changes. Both do it and do it fine, but you can find it and change it super-fast in jscan.
That's one reason I have both - one is a bit more "I don't feel like digging into my C++ books to find the library for this" and the other is "I worked for FCA and created these things" types LOL

This piece is missing in the steps provided by JScan for enabling the auto-dim high beam function. I will look at this more this evening and enable as needed.

Thank you for the insight!!

I'm surprised they didn't mention that step in their instructions. Awhile back when I looked into using JScan to do this, I went through the options posted in the first post by @ShadowsPapa and was able to match up every one of them to an equivalent JScan option and setting except for the module location. I think if you map each one out and set it to the value in that post it should work fine for you. I had given up on them actually making this change and moved on to AlfaOBD awhile back to get it working, so I was surprised to see it in the last update from them.

Confirmed that setting the option within the radio settings in JScan adds the option in the lighting settings. Everything is now working and showing as expected!!

I have followed this to a T and everything is engaged in my 2021 grand Cherokee but I do not get the auto highbeams. I do have the correct mirror, and every setting shows to be correct. I don’t know what I’m missing. I know this forums is for gladiators but the settings assuming are all the same

That’s because the grand Cherokee uses a different location for the auto high beam camera. If the camera is on the rear view mirror itself, try setting 2014 CBC I/O and Features Configuration: Auto High Beam Module Location to ECC AHBM (for AlfaOBD), or Auto High Beam Module location target to ECC AHBM (for Jscan).

What level Grand Cherokee do you have? It came with my wife's just as part of it being Grand Cherokee. We asked and were told - it's included. And sure enough..........
You must have the headlight control in AUTO and use the dimmer to turn on high beams and it will tell you on the cluster "auto high beam enabled" or "auto high beam disabled".
As far as I know, they won't work unless the headlight is in the AUTO position.
My wife has a 2021 and dealer told us - it's in there, didn't have to order anything special.

I will try jscan with a June 2019 build with the safety group and advanced safety group. I'll report back on my findings.
I definitely need to get some of the extention cables.

in order to get the message in the EVIC to say auto highbeam enabled or auto highbeam disabled I had to select ECC_half. The others wouldn’t even show the message. But now at least I get that message. i’ve set this up with Alpha OBD but I don’t mind jumping over to jscan if I have to

My wife took her WK2 to a gathering of her friends so I can't even pop out and see what settings are in hers. If it was here I could grab a log of the current settings in each module.

Does the GC have any of these options: adaptive cruise, forward collision warning, lane departure warning?
If it doesn’t have any one of those features, does it have, or did you install the rear view mirror that has the smart beam camera attached to it?

When we ordered, they were part of it being a Grand Cherokee. You couldn't choose, those things were just there.
We added one package - trailer tow. Otherwise, it included all of the things you mentioned (2021)
Unless there's a base base model - Jeep.com doesn't even show those things as being selections or part of an optional package, indicating they are standard.

There are 19-22 models that do not have any of those features. Just trying to determine what he actually has, because that will dictate what settings to use.

Ours is a 2021 model Grand Cherokee. It was standard equipment, not a choice or option.
That's why I'm confused as to how a person can have a 21 or 22 Grand Cherokee and not have that equipment. When my wife asked to make sure her new Jeep would have that stuff - we were told yes, they do, we didn't have to add anything.
