That could be anything from poor quality OEM batteries to how often and how far the vehicle is driven.I’m at 11.5 months 16.6k milesand getting aux switches disabled due to charging. Terrible
I drive at least 70miles per day and mine is still charging on batteries that are only a year old. I think the IBS is jacked up.That could be anything from poor quality OEM batteries to how often and how far the vehicle is driven.
That’s what I figured n really didn’t want to goto to the stealers anywayAfter I bought mine six months ago I asked the dealer I bought it from, and another dealer equidistant if they replace batteries under warranty if they fail inside the warranty period. They both said “no, they are normal wearing parts, like tires and brakes".
I’ve never had a battery fail on a new vehicle inside warranty so I didn’t know what I expceted them to say. Just wanted to hear what they would say.
I’m not going to “borrow trouble” yet, because nothing has failed yet.
good deal. I got er disconnected. Thx!The IBS is reset by completely disconnecting it, suggested time is twenty minutes. Disconnect all the cables and then remove it from the negative post. Be careful with the battery cables to make sure they don't touch metal in the engine bay.
Any cables attached to the negative post should be connected under the nuts on the top of the IBS.
The batteries are covered under the 3/36 factory warranty. Getting them replaced under warranty is not easy. Jeep has a specific process outlined that dealers have to follow. They submit the results and have to get approval from Jeep to replace the batteries.
