You probably have one of the 4 PDC connectors loose or damaged. You have 2 options:

1. Watch the Genesis Dual Battery install video on YouTube. Just for the PDC removal and reinstall section. Check the harnesses and plugs for any damage. If none....reinstall PRECISELY and see if the truck works again. You have something loose somewhere.

2. Take it to the dealer and play dumb. Do NOT mention screwing around with the Aux and PDC. Is that dishonest? Yes. They're far worse. Screw em.
I suggest #2. My guess is the ignition switch is bad. And I'm good a "playing" dumb.

I'd check the wires from the OBD plug into the firewall. Mine went bananas once after coming around a curve in some mild whoops and everything turned on (wipers, every warning light, etc.) and power steering shut down. Then the engine would not turn off. Once I disconned the battery and reconnected it wouldn't turn on. Then I jiggled the OBD port and wires and eveything was tip top. I spent hours looking for loose or bare wires and couldnt find anything. Only guess is maybe the superchips security gateway bypass farted. That was at about 60k miles, I'm at 75k and all systems have been fine.

Guys after going through everything mentioned and more. I looked around and found a dealer installed security device. It's pretty crudly slapped together with electrical tape and cuts and slices in my factory wiring. So I’m not touching it. Given that it is designed to prevent starting it could absolutely be the problem. Taking it in. I’ll let you know.

It could just be a GPS track that taps 12v from the OBDII connector.... take pics

Man, I'd be flipping pissed if the dealer cut into the factory harness.

I'd definitely give them a call, I wouldn't touch anything else.

Oooo Ouch. that last picture?? Wire taps on the harness - not good. Lots of people do that but those are worse than junk IMO. I would be super pissed and asking why this happened on a brand new truck - unless there is high theft in the area that dealership is located.

But IMO - dealer should be liable for replacing the entire harness

Been reading that it is really common now. They are afraid of cars getting boosted off the lot. Could be the source of most of our electrical problems on our Gladiators.

I totally understand that coming from their perspective, but IMO that is not an excuse. When we are spending 50-60 or more K on these trucks, and they hammer people hard for aftermarket accessories, then this should absolutely not ever happen. I just hope you can get it covered under warranty

Just curious because it sounds extremely laborous, what would it cost to replace an entire harness?
