Hell, you could by an "already on the market" 5th wheel and bolt it to the truck, no? just make sure you hit the hard points when you bolt it down

Scamp also makes a lightweight 5th wheel trailer. Bumper pulls as well, but no prices unless you call or find them used.

those scamps are great. Really good resale value and they are pretty durable. however, they come at a premium. The really small ones are are like 20k with options.
