I also went over my Glad when I took delivery. I couldn't find any thing wrong. No paint blems, interior was great. Everything was in great shape. I only worry about the batteries , they had the truck for 3 months before I bought it.

It wasn’t just in the USA - I visited a BMW assembly plant in Germany in the early 80s and there were vending machines with beer on the assembly line.

I worked on a new MB in the 70’s with a rattle - turned out to be an empty schnapps bottle inside the passenger door. I guess it all depends on the standards that management and the Unions will enforce.
I went over to Munich to train on a new model when I worked for BMW. First thing they told us, was that they sell beer in the cafeteria. We were also told it was off limits to us, because we were to still work under our plants rules. No alcohol during work hours.

My Jeep's fit and finish is much better than my wife's Subaru. Never been more disappointed with a rattle bucket before. They must have the good stuff over in Japan. I tried to have Microsoft Co-Pilot create an image of Snoop Dogg or a fake Snoop in a Japanese art style but it won't do specific people.
