Extended warranty after purchase

Bought one from Tom. Canceled the one I bought from my local dealer. 8yr. 125000 miles. $100 deductible

If you don't mind, what did Tom charge you for the 8 yr plan?

With the extended warranty that you are referring to, does it cover the exhaust system? With having the ecodiesel there are lots of components to go bad in that system.

IIRC, the Mopar plan excludes the exhaust system.
However, most of the complexities in the diesel exhaust are emissions-related, and that’s covered by a different warranty.

Score another win for Tom. Just got off the phone with him for my second warranty in 8 months. He beat the next best quote by $300. That's 25% cheaper.

Once again I suggest everyone call him. Make it the last call after getting your other quotes.

Update to the thread.
I called the Mopar phone number on a letter I received and got a quote of $3,426 for 100,000 mile warranty.

2021 Diesel with 14,500 miles after 1 year ownership.

Important to note that the diesel exhaust system would not be covered by this extended warranty but it is covered by the federal 80,000 mile warranty. The DEF system would be covered by this $3,426 warranty.

This all makes me wonder if it is worth it. I suppose there are plenty of other things that could go bad besides the diesel after treatment system.

Oh please don't go there!
3 to 4 calls a day on most days. I don't answer the phone unless it's a number in my contact list and even voice mails I get, only half of those are legit.

That quote is way high. I found this site through a Ram forum for Mopar extended warranty. I got a quote for my Ram and my dealer beat the quote. Just did the same thing for my JT (however it is a gas motor on the JT) Take a look. It could save you some money if you decide to go that route.
