I talked to the dealer and they basically just apologized. They know it's a problem but have no fix.

Did you set this feature to come on with remote starts or all starts in the U Connect settings??Im running into the same problem 2021 high altitude gladiator got off work remote started the Jeep for 10 mins went out to the Jeep and the heated seats and steering wheel wasn’t on. Temp was 33 but the Jeep was saying 46 until I drove down the road for 2 miles then it corrected itself. Has anyone actually went to the dealership? I’m going in this week
Which problem are you referring to?I talked to the dealer and they basically just apologized. They know it's a problem but have no fix.
Service manager. Temp reading incorrect, which causes the other things to not automatically come on.......the sensor is designed to work/ be accurate while the vehicle is in motion. they designed a function to work off a sensor that is only meant to be accurate when the vehicle is in motion when the function is only applicable while the vehicle is stationary.Which problem are you referring to?
Inaccurate temp reading or lack of heated seats and wheel at startup?
Who did you talk to?
Sales, service writer, tech?
Most known problems have TSBs.
Or just turn out to be operator error on setup.
News to me, I thought it was controlled by the settings in U Connect, but I suppose that is temp reliant, don’t really want them coming on when it’s 90 out.?Service manager. But, the issue as some have mentioned is an overnight cold start is reading an incorrect ambient temperature in comparison to actual and not activating the seat and wheel heat when it should. Then only after driving does the correct ambient temperature display.Umm... really guys?
EVERY vehicle I've ever owned including multiple Jeep and Ram products has been intentionally programmed to work this way.
The ambient temp sensor is located just inside the grille. This is the best place to put it because it's shaded from direct UV which would give erroneous readings, and it's free from engine heat while driving because it's upstream. However, if you are stopped and the engine is hot, THEN the ambient sensor could potentially be detecting some warmth from the radiator which is why it's only accurate while driving down the road. 100% normal and intentional operation.
On the first cold start of the day, the ambient reading may be accurate immediately because the engine has cooled off. But if you've been driving and the engine is warm, starting the engine will result in higher than accurate readings initially until you start driving.
This isn't rocket science. And there's nothing a dealer will do about it because there's nothing a dealer CAN do about it.
This is a known thing. Not REAL common, but I've seen it.Which problem are you referring to?
Inaccurate temp reading or lack of heated seats and wheel at startup?

Naw, mine normally works fine. We did shopping yesterday - several stops. Each time I came back out and started it the seat heat was on.Umm... really guys?

Haha I sure didDid you set this feature to come on with remote starts or all starts in the U Connect settings??
Just saying, before you go to the dealership and possibly embarrass yourself.?
Let us know.
Shouldn't it be on remote start ?Haha I sure didit’s on all starts I checked that first thing haha it’s in the shop right now I will let everyone know. It will be with them for alittle they are doing a lift and tires and some paint fix so when I find out I will update
He said it was "on" all starts - that means you in the truck pushing the button on the dash or you in the house pushing the button on the fob or using your phone to start it.Shouldn't it be on remote start ?
Amen brother!Uh, really? Bashing a guy for asking? And this DOES impact other functions. You try getting your ass out into a 18 degree vehicle where the heated seats and wheel won't work as intended because the temp reading is off. You pay for those features - and they won't work when the damn thing says it's 45 out and it's really in the teens. You do a remote start expecting the seats and wheel to be a bit warmed up. The rear window and mirror defrost won't even work when it acts like his is doing.
This is the sort of response that keeps others from even asking questions - being told their issues aren't important.
So you come just to mock?
Maybe your HVAC will stop working and features you paid for will stop working so you can experience some frustration.
Good god, why can't people just try to help or answer instead of making people feel like idiots for even asking?
