Never mind that most states now require headlights when you use wipers. Now ideally you actually turn your lights on to burn the rears but you are in a sense covered by the DRLs.
True, but by default, our lights also automatically come on with the wipers. You can turn that off though. Don't know why you would, however. I don't know if all modern Jeeps do this, or if it's just if you have auto headlights, but our JK does it too.
My Jetta GLI, which cost less than half the JT, turned on the wipers automatically too.

I keep my dash lights very dim for night driving. Headlights turning on with the wipers, during the day, makes the dash extremely difficult to see. I disabled the Headlights with wipers, but I keep the lights on Auto and all the rest are enabled.

My JT doesn't have the factory LED package, and turning off the DRLs via the radio does indeed turn off the DRLs!

Kevin
@sharpsicle , is this a problem?

According to you, "No duh the setting on the radio doesn't do anything, it's not a LED equipped truck!"

Kevin_D's setting does something. ?

Your insurance company will need to know if you turn off DRL. Just something to think about…..

I just adjust the dimmer in the day if the lights come on, because here it's illegal to drive in the rain without headlights, even in the day. So the automatic lights/wipers keeps me from forgetting and getting a ticket.

Anyone else come up with anything to get all the lights off when parked or remote started?

I would also prefer zero lights, I leave early in the morning and either leave it running or use remote start. Theres other times where I run inside, and leave it on, want the a/c or heat on ect.

The front corner marker lights are actually super bright.

Be thankful you live in Ohio............. not Massachusetts........... frankly, I shut mine off when not going to be in it for any length of time. If I plan on being out of it for more than 3 or 4 minutes, it's shut off and locked.
Risky leaving them running.
There's really no option unless tazer can do it. Not sure why it bothers you so much, having it visible to other motorists on the streets, but there's nothing to be done save for something like tazer that I can tell. It might be some obscure rule or something for one of the markets Jeep sells in.

Whats wrong with mass? I was just there last summer.

I can lock mine while its running, or remote started obviously locked. Like i said i leave early in the morning or while its in the lot at work or at a store running just prefer no lights, or if im sitting in it ect.

Doesnt seem like tazer does it from what i read, and theres a bunch of headaches with that.

Doesn’t setting the parking brake shut off the parking lights? Or is it something else you are trying to accomplish…
